Hello, reader(s),
My name is Jonathan, I'm 45 years of age.

The reason for me joining this website, is because I'd like to see new places, obviously (haha).
But more specifically, I want to emigrate.
The Netherlands, where I am from, is nice in a few ways, but we lack true nature. It's also become very crowded here.
My grandmother and mother passed away a few years ago, and I've been ready for a new life since a long time.

After considering many options, I'm quite certain Canada would suit me :)
Besides, I've been to Korea/Australia/Japan and other countries, and it all wasn't for me, for a variety of reasons.
So a long-term volunteering work place in Canada, with a preference for British Columbia, would be amazing. :)
But I'll also look for other nice places.

A little more about me then, if I haven't lost your interest up to this point.
I don't smoke, and I don't drink alcohol. Furthermore, I think it's fair to say that I'm a kind person.
Before covid, I have had different jobs, but none of them really fulfilling.
So a few years ago, I started to chase my true dream. Which is writing fiction books.
At the moment, I'm writing my 2nd book and I'm very proud of both.
Both of them are different stories with different characters. One is "high fiction," the 2nd takes place in our world, yet with differences.
The goal I am aiming for is to make books that aren't too boring, for young-adults/adults. So the pace in my books is quite fast, in my humble opinion ;)
Some of my hobby's: I love hiking through mountains and hills and forests. I love dogs/cats/deer, playing games and lots of other things.
Most of all, though, I love to simply be free, as I can only consider myself a free spirit.
Being around other like-minded spirits is important for me.

As for the volunteer work, I could and would do anything that is requested of me. Well, as long as I can handle it, of course.
That being said, outdoor work always makes me happy. Maintaining gardens, taking care of pets/farms, etcetera.

And just for fun, a short list of favorites. It might also be handy to see into someone's personality a little better.
■Favorite food: vegetables, potatoes, noodle dishes.
■Favorite book series: The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. But I love my own books best. Haha...
■Favorite season: autumn.
■Favorite environment: mountainous, grassy forests, close to a city in a not too warm climate.
That's quite detailed, I know. ;)
■Favorite computer game: Skyrim.
■Favorite people: free spirits with a sense of humor.
