Hello! I’m Gloria from the wonderful Indonesia.

I’m an active, creative, and expressive person. I am generally friendly, speak politely, and always greet people with a smile. Positivity is one of my greatest trait.

Three things I love the most: Food. Travel. and Fiction (books, movies).

It’s always been my dream to write and travel — To let my mind and body wanders freely to my heart’s content. As a writer, I’m naturally curious person. I want to try everything and experience life to the fullest, so I never run out of stories to tell.

For me, travelling around the world is a chance of self-improvement. Because being in different places is stimulating, refreshing, and brings endless learning opportunities. I want to be humbled by learning from other people’s way of living and working hard outside of my comfort zone. I want to be a part of another community, interacting with people with different cultural backgrounds, and embracing every uniqueness that makes the world colourful.

My wish is for everyone — no matter how old — to be able to live, love, and laugh like a child — honest, careless, and “just because”.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Language skills I could teach: English and Bahasa Indonesia


English: I could teach beginner class or become the daily English practice companion.
- I went to an international school that adopts the curriculum from the Higher School Certificate (HSC) from New South Wales, Australia - all lessons were in English.
- I went to summer school in Pismo Beach, California and lived with a host family for a month.

Bahasa Indonesia: I could teach basic Indonesian for daily conversation or the formal Indonesian forms and structures.

Cooking and baking skills: Self-taught and took some short courses.
I’m the cook of my family. I have experience making pizza, dumplings, crispy roasted pork belly, Indonesian soto, Japanese yakitori, Korean kimbab, Thai tom yum goong, and many more! Everything from scratch. No instant food.

Housekeeping skills: general cleaning, dishwashing, doing laundry, ironing, watering the plants, etc.
I live in 2 story house with no helper / housekeeping assistant (which is common in Indonesia). So, keeping the house in order is a norm for me.

Educational background: Bachelor of Arts
My main major was Film and Television.
Skills I learned in college:
- Visual arts: painting, sculpting, photography, video, acting, film making, etc.
- Basic graphic design: Photoshop, Illustrator, digital painting, typography, etc.

Work Experience:
I was a part of the creative team in a media company that makes video / ads to promote a product or brand for 2 years. Currently, I’m working as a freelance writer.

Most of my skills are self-taught by reading books or watching video tutorial. I'm good at following instructions and taking advices. Sometimes I also attend short courses: cooking, digital marketing, etc. Currently I'm taking online German language class. With discipline, patient, and willingness to learn, I believe there is nothing impossible to do.

I'm an active and open-minded individual, so I have lots of interests. Recently, I’m into taking photos and videos. I want to explore more about nature photography and documentary videos that capture candid daily occurrences.

Since I love cooking, I always try to use the best ingredients to prepare meals. So, It would be my pleasure to learn about growing vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices. Some home gardening lesson would be much appreciated.

Lastly, since I would be travelling a lot, it's necessary to keep a healthy body and mind. So, I also would love to learn yoga and meditation.
