Hello, my name is Elisabeth, I'm French. I'm 37.
I come from the North of France, a city named Lille. It's a very nice place close to Belgium.
I teach English in a middle school, to French pupils. I've been teaching for 10 years and I enjoy it very much.
I love cinema, I go to the theater pretty much every week when I'm not travelling.
I practice yoga and I also take dance classes.
I've been fascinated by India since I was 18, and I've traveled there quite a few times already. Last year, I spent 6 months in North India. I volunteered in a Gurukul in Gujarat for 2 months, giving English classes, and I also volunteered in Himachal Pradesh, giving French classes to Tibetan refugees. I've been learning Hindi on my own for a few years, and I've also taken classes in Delhi. I'll be coming again to India from August 2024.
My purpose is to settle down in different places for 3-4 weeks, maybe longer, so that I can connect with people in a meaningful way. I'm not keen on visiting a long list of places, I'd rather form actual relationships with people. I'm very keen on learning more about the culture, I'd also love to learn some cooking.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've been teaching English for 10 years in a middle school, back in France. Before that, I worked as an assistant in primary schools. So I've got experience with both younger children and teenagers.
I've also had experience as a French teacher both in England (2007) and Northern Ireland (2012).
Teaching is my only field of expertise but I'm open to helping with other things, as long as they don't require much skill, or as long as people have patience/time to teach me.
I'm also concerned with environmental issues so I'm willing to volunteer in projects that have those issues at heart.
