Hello! I'm Emma, a 26 years old Belgian, working as a social worker. I love connecting with people, improving skills like plant-care and carpentry, and helping out along the way where possible!

I love animals, biking, hiking, painting, drawing, working in the garden and I dabble in playing the guitar.

I live in an appartement right now, so I don't have a garden and I miss it very much. I claimed the shared terrace and turned that into a very DIY vertical garden. So any acces to learning more about agriculture: consider me interested! :)

I already used workaway once and loved the experience! I have some free time this summer 2023 so that's what I'm looking for.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I helped renovating friends' houses over the years, so I'm no stranger to laying floors, breaking tile, painting walls, ... etc. I am by no means a professional, but I enjoy working with my hands and learning! My roommates and I recently built a bar in our garage out of found wood scraps, so the first steps in woodworking have also been taken.

I take care of a lot of houseplants, and of a vertical vegetable-garden on my terrace. So I know a bit about plant-care, but would love to learn more. Sustainable living in general, I am really interested in.

I speak fluent English, French and Dutch.

In my past as a babysitter and a camp counsellor I garnered a lot of experience in working with children and teens. In my work as a social worker I learned that I love meeting new people, but I also enjoy a little quiet time with myself from time to time.
