Hello everyone, we are a French couple (33 for Alexia and 34 for Bastien), parents of a lovely little girl, Roxane, of almost 2, and currently living in Brussels (Belgium). It was one of our dreams to spend several months in South America, as a family, and we now are making it real. We wanted to escape our day-to-day routine and experience down-to-earth and unique exchanges with local communities. Workaway seems the best opportunity to do so hence here we are!
I am Alexia, a South West French girl who grew up in the countryside. Profundly curious and with a lot of utopist ideas, I have worked and studied in different countries. My life goal is to connect with people: to learn, to exchange with them and to support them. Currently, I help Latin american people living in Brussels to look for a job and I guide them in this new European life. This job confirmed my will to travel to South America. For this Workaway experience, I want to go back to my roots: to work and be in the countryside to connect with nature. Looking forward to meeting you !
Bastien: I would call myself an adventurous and outgoing person. I traveled for 3 years around the globe when I was working on oil rigs and loved my 8 months in Argentina (Neuquén area). Always up for outdoor challenges (my dream is to complete the 7 summits, the Mont Blanc already in the bag), I also love reading and writing. I published a children tale last year and am thinking of a second one. If I have the opportunity, I would love to be able to teach young kids (either in French or English) because I enjoy sharing knowledge and interact with children. Their creativity is limitless! Hope to cross your path during our travel!Centres d’intérêt

Alexia : DurIng my childhood, I used to work in the countryside to support my family as a fruit picker. So I am not afraid to work outside. With a strong sense of organization, I like to make the work efficient. I am a quick learner and I adjust my way of working depending on the context and the required tasks.
Bastien: I kept my childhood soul and use it every time I am around children. Finding the right activity or interest to catch their attention is one of the most rewarding feelings I’ve ever experienced. I could tell stories of treasure hunts with my nephew, invented unicorn stories with my niece or countless hours of laughing with my young daughter. Besides, as an Engineer, I am well organized and know how to keep a schedule and monitor the different activities within a day. This would come handy if I were to help in a school. Finally, I am always with a smile on my face and can ensure to communicate this feeling around meÂge
