  Description

  We have recently opened a dive/surf hostel and aim to create an enjoyable space and experience for our guests. Our wish is to fill our building with good atmosphere and great vibes.
  We are situated on the west end of Weligama Bay, 200m from a secret beach and 700m from jungle beach.
  We have a rooftop with a lot of potential for all sorts of activity overlooking the sea.

  Our aim is to include foreigners as well as local workers in our team. We want to include Sri Lankan people and create a cultural exchange in our day to day work.
  In time, we will be donating things to the local families and hope to help them live in better conditions.
  We are also trying to do some beach cleaning to create a nicer environment in the area. We are divers so we care a lot for the ocean and beaches.
  Feel free to come and enjoy our happy place, you can use the washing machine, and also borrow a yoga mat or a snorkle whenever.

  Dear travellers,
  
  We are currently looking for people with ARTISTIC skills!! This could be for mural painting with original and creative ideas to redecorating (interior and exterior work). We are also looking for someone who's prepared to stay for a min of 1 month for a position with more responsibility.  For this we can discuss terms but we need someone who is thorough, responsible and trustworthy.

  Other than the above, we are always looking for people for normal hostel help (reception, cleaning, bed making), also versatile helpers or people able to do some gardening, painting mural, building structures with palette/cinnamon/palm, and any other creative minds that can help us to finish putting our hostel together.
  We also have a couple of bars, one on the roof top and and another in the jungle which is super cool and we will need help for musical events there.
  
  We are looking for motivated and creative poeple. We sometimes make a planning with shifts that are slightly longer than normal volunteer days. But we give you three days off per week to be able to go and explore the areas. We do not exceed the 25 hour workaway week! We prioritise people willing to stay for more than 2 weeks as we have quite a lot of demand.
  
  The rooftop offers yoga classes and sometimes traditional massages in the mornings as well as a co-working space, and a chill snack bar in the evening..
  
  We are 2 km away from the Weligama surf spots and 700m from Fisherman's Reef.

  Hébergement

  Volunteers are housed in a basic Sri Lankan family house adjacent to the hostel. There are 2 to 4 bedded rooms for the workawayers to enable the team to have their own space and kitchen. If the house is full then volunteers will be housed in the hostel temporarily.
  
  We offer lunch to our volunteers. They will have a home cooked typical Sri lankan vegetarian dish every day of the week. This gives us a moment to disconnect from work and reconnect with nature.

  We are a 5 mins bus ride into Weligama and 20 mins from Mirissa, where you can enjoy surfing, diving, even whale watching when the season starts. The entire south coast is available on the buses and it is beautiful to visit the beaches and local restaurants.
