  Description

  Hola! We run an agri-touristic project and Spanish School in San Rafael Antioquia. We run an eco-lodge, restaurante, bar, and have an organic vegetable garden. Currently we are looking for help in the gardens, reforestation projects, and help preserving San Rafael and our community region by collecting trash around the property and the neighborhood to try to keep the area beautiful, yoga teachers and help with publicity/documentation of the project, . We offer our volunteers to participate in a weekly organic gardening/permaculture design workshop!
  
  We have two volunteer programs here:
  In the gardens:
  We ask for between 3 hours per day (15 hours per week) in exchange for your accommodation with us. We ask for a six day minimum stay and we have a two week trial period before deciding on long-term stays with full room and board.
  
  In our recycling project:
  We ask for 5 hours per day in exchange for your accommodation and three meals a day from our restaurante. We have a two week minimum stay for the recycling program.

  Hola! Nosotros trabajamos con un proyecto de agriturismo en San Rafael Antioquia. Aqui manejamos un eco-lodge, restaurante, bar, y huerta organica. Siempre estamos buscando compartir este espacio con gente de buena honda. Ahorita estamos buscando ayuda con publicidad/documentación del progreso y gente en el lugar, trabajo en huertas, proyectos de reforestación y siembra de bosques-comestibles, y ayuda a la comunidad en recoger basuras en la zona para mantener los bosques y ríos limpios.
  
  Ofrecemos a nuestros voluntarios participar en un clase por semana de manejo de una huerta orgánica y diseño de permacultura dirigido por un compañero con mas de 10 años de experiencia.
  
  Tenemos dos programas de voluntariado aca:
  En la huerta:
  Pedimos 3 horas al día o (15 horas por semana) como intercambio para la acomodación con nosotros. La estadía minima es de seis días y tenemos una periodo de prueba de dos semanas antes de hacer intercambio de largo plazo.
  
  En el proyecto de reciclaje:
  Pedimos 5 horas al día como intercambio por estadía y comida con nosotros. Hay una estadía minima de dos semanas para este tipo de voluntariado.

  Travellers on the farm have the opportunity to spend time around el macanal river in San Rafael, Antioquia--getting to know a small community of Colombians and immigrants living in the Antioquian mountains. We are trying new farming techniques, new types of construction and in general trying to learn new things as often as possible. Everyday there is something to learn or to try on the farm.

  --Looking for musicians, artists, photographers and nice people to come and spend some time on our farm in-between San Rafael and San Carlos Antioquia!
  --Looking for photographers to help with the publicity and documentation for our project!
  --Looking for Yoga Teachers!
  
  As many of our volunteer oportunities will change with the season as well as with the skills a volunteer brings to the table, it is a bit difficult to describe the daily tasks of all volunteers. That said, we expect 3 hours of good help five days a week!

  On the farm we have several dormitories, private rooms, and camping depending on our availability and your preference!

  Our farm is located on the river el Macanal in San Rafael, Antioquia. We are quite isolated, but surrounded by beautiful nature. With ten beautuiful swimming spots, and a waterfall on the property, the surrounding nature should keep you occupied in your freetime. There is also an eco lodge on the property with a bar, live music, and restaurant for some weekend entertainment. The town of San Rafael is about an hour walk away, or a ten minute walk and 15 minute tuc tuc drive.

  Typically are internet is stable. We have a local internet provider for the entrance of the hotel and starlink in the area of the restaurante. We are in a rural area with power outages and storms, so every few weeks we are without internet for at least a few hours while maintenance is being done or while there are big storms.
