  Description

  We acquired in 2022 a forest of approximately 12 hectares in Montiferru, in the province of Oristano, the nearest town is Macomer, but we are about 4km away from a small village, where there is everything you need. When we are full we are 5 adults and 7 children, ranging from one year to 13 years old. We have two dogs, four cats, two donkeys who help us transport wood and go trekking, which we love to do whenever possible, and 14 chickens who give us good eggs. We grow vegetables, mainly for our own consumption and to exchange with friends. We have two vegetable gardens, which for the moment we cultivate with traditional techniques, irrigating by flow. We work the land mainly with manual equipment. We try to grow most plants from heirloom seeds. Little by little we are putting in fruit trees. We do home school with our children and we are happy to welcome other families with children to share the experience. We deal, mainly for our subsistence and to exchange, with producing jams, preserves, which we produce with excesses from the garden or fruit that we manage to find or wild herbs and fruits, such as blackberries and hawthorns. We love using and transforming medicinal wild herbs, which we transform into essential oils with the help of the still. We self-produce our own ointments, soaps and toothpastes. We have been in the land relatively recently, and we are still in the initial phase, we can host in camping mode, therefore suitable for people who want to have an experience in contact with nature and its elements
  
  What we self-produce on an agricultural level is for family consumption, we don't sell, but when we have excess vegetables or anything else, we give to friends or exchange.
  
  Abbiamo acquisito nel 2022 un bosco di circa 12 ettari nel Montiferru, nella provincia di Oristano, il centro abitato più vicino e' Macomer, ma distiamo circa 4km da un piccolo borgo, dove c'è tutto il necessario.
  Quando siamo al completo siamo 5 adulti e 7bambini, che vanno da un anno ai 13 anni.
  Abbiamo due cani, quattro gatti, due asinelle che ci aiutano nel trasporto della legna e nei trekking, che quando possibile amiamo fare, e 14 galline che ci danno buone uova.
  
  Coltiviamo ortaggi, principalmente per il nostro consumo e da scambiare con gli amici. Abbiamo due orti, che per il momento coltiviamo con tecniche tradizionali, irrigando a scorrimento. Lavoriamo la terra principalmente con attrezzature manuali. Cerchiamo di coltivare la maggior parte delle piante da semi antichi. Piano piano stiamo mettendo alberi da frutto.
  Con i nostri bambini facciamo scuola in casa ed abbiamo piacere ad accogliere altre famiglie con bambini anche per condividere l'esperienza.
  Ci occupiamo, prevalentemente per la nostra sussistenza e per scambiare,di produrre marmellate, conserve, che produciamo con eccessi dell'orto o frutta che riusciamo a reperire o erbe e frutti selvatici, come more e biancospini.
  Amiamo usare e trasformare le erbe selvatiche medicinali, che con l'aiuto dell'alambicco trasformiamo in olii essenziali.
  Ci autoproduciamo i nostri unguenti saponi e dentifrici.
  
  Quello che autoproduciamo a livello agricolo e' per il consumo famigliare, non vendiamo , ma quando abbiamo eccessi di verdure o altro, regaliamo agli amici o scambiamo.
  
  Siamo nel terreno relativamente da poco, e siamo ancora nella fase iniziale, possiamo ospitare in modalità campeggio, adatto quindi a persone con voglia di fare un esperienza a contatto con la natura e i suoi elementi

  Aide

  We need a hand to: •look after the vegetable gardens. Which includes flowing watering, helping the land with tools, manuals, sowing and harvesting. We take care of sowing in beds, warm and cold seedbeds from around mid-February onwards. • care of the donkeys and preparation and care of their spaces. •care of the chickens and improvements to their spaces. •cleaning of the forest, opening of paths. Opening and cleaning new spaces to create new areas. • setting up new areas, which may include help in construction and/or furniture construction, all with natural materials and recycled materials. We willingly show what we can do, as the saying goes: "I can't teach you anything, but I can show you how I do it". These are some of the jobs workawayers could do, some are more physical than others. When you contact us we can tell you the jobs that would be most needed at that time. . Every day is different from the others. We divide our time between the care and education of our children and teenagers, taking care of the vegetable gardens, making wood and building the spaces necessary for living, bathrooms, children's areas, etc. We are experimenting with self-construction techniques, with wood, earth and recycled materials.
  
  Abbiamo bisogno di una mano per:
  •gestire e curare gli orti. Che comprende innaffiare a scorrimento, lavorare la terra con attrezzi, manuali, seminare e raccogliere. Ci occupiamo delle semine in letto, caldo e semenzaio freddo da metà febbraio in poi circa.
  • cura degli asini e preparazione e cura dei loro spazi.
  •cura delle galline e migliorie dei loro spazi.
  •pulizia del bosco, apertura sentieri. Apertura e pulizia nuovi spazi per creare nuove aree.
  • preparazione di conserve, marmellate, saponi, oli essenziali e preparati medicinali, quando stagione.
  • allestimento nuove aree, che può comprendere aiuto nella costruzione e/o costruzione mobilia, il tutto con materie naturali e materiali di recupero.
  Mostriamo volentieri quello che sappiamo fare, come dice il detto: "non posso insegnarti nulla, ma posso mostrarti come faccio".
  Questi sono alcuni dei lavori che i woofer potrebbero fare, alcuni sono più fisici di altri. Quando ci contattate potremmo dirvi i lavori che sarebbero più necessari in quel momento.

  Ogni giornata e' diversa dalle altre. Ci dividiamo tra la cura e istruzione dei nostri bambini e ragazzi, alla cura degli orti, fare legna e costruire gli spazi necessari a vivere, bagno, aree bambini etc.
  Stiamo sperimentando tecniche di autocostruzione, con legno, terra e materiali di recupero.

  Hébergement

  We follow an omnivorous diet, mainly vegetarian, but we are open to hosting people with diets different from ours. Generally breakfast is made independently, and you will have a choice between the various jams we have. For lunch we generally eat together, alternating in the preparation, the same goes for dinner. However, it may happen that you have to eat independently, in which case you will be provided with everything you need. We can currently accommodate in a tent, or with your camper (but first you should contact us to understand together what type of camper you have, if it is too large you may have problems getting in) while waiting to complete the space dedicated to guests. We have a common outdoor kitchen, which can be used at any time. Spartan but equipped with everything. We have an exceptional spring water. On our land we are disconnected from public electricity, we have electricity, generated by two panels only for a few light bulbs and for charging phones in the common areas. If the rainy days continue, the electricity can go out and we light ourselves with torches and candles. It is necessary to have flashlights to move around in the dark. We have little connection, not present in the common areas. For the moment we do not have a bathroom, which we will build shortly; for the moment our toilet is the forest that must be respected. We need to move away from the common areas and make a hole for our needs, then cover it up. We wash ourselves with water and natural soaps self-produced on site. On our land we only use our own self-produced detergents, for body, teeth, hair, laundry and dishes, we will be happy to share our self-productions with you. We don't have a washing machine, but there is an old wash house where you can do your laundry. We don't have hot water, it has to be heated on the fire for showers and laundry.
  
  Noi seguiamo una dieta onnivora, prevalentemente vegatariana, ma siamo aperti ad ospitare anche persone con diete diverse dalla nostra.
  Generalmente la colazione viene fatta in autonomia, ed avrai scelta tra le varie marmellate che produciamo. Per il pranzo generalmente mangiamo insieme, alternandosi nella preparazione, idem per la cena. Puo' comunque capitare di passare i pasti in autonomia, nel caso vi verrà fornito tutto il necessario.
  Attualmente possiamo ospitare in tenda, o con vostro camper, (ma prima dovreste contattarci per capire insieme che tipo di camper avete, se troppo grande potreste aver problemi ad entrare) in attesa di ultimare lo spazio dedicato agli ospiti.
  Abbiamo una cucina comune all'aperto, usufruibile in qualsiasi momento. Spartana ma provvista di tutto.
  Abbiamo un eccezionale acqua di sorgente.
  Nel nostro terreno siamo sganciati dalla corrente pubblica, abbiamo corrente, generata da due pannelli solo per poche lampadine e per ricaricare i telefoni negli spazi comuni, se i giorni di pioggia si protraggono la corrente può mancare e ci illuminiamo con torce e candele. E' necessario essere provvisti di torce per spostarsi al buio. Abbiamo poca connessione, non presente nelle aree comuni.
  Per il momento siamo sprovvisti di un bagno, che realizzeremo a breve;per il momento la nostra toilette e' il bosco che va rispettato. Bisogna allontanarsi dalle zone comuni e per i nostri bisogni fare una buca, poi da ricoprire. Noi ci laviamo con l'acqua e saponi naturali autoprodotti in loco.
  Nel nostro terreno usiamo solo i nostri detergenti autoprodotti, per corpo, denti capelli bucato e stoviglie, saremo felici di condividere con voi le nostre autoproduzioni.
  Non abbiamo lavatrice, ma c e'un vecchio lavatoio dove potrai fare il bucato.
  Non abbiamo acqua calda, va riscaldata sul fuoco per docce e bucato.

  bellissime passeggiate, tra boschi di lecci e roverelle. Se sei silenzioso e fortunato potrai incrociare, volpi, mufloni, cinghiali etc.
  Siamo distanti circa 4km dal paese, che puoi raggiungere in un ora a piedi o 5minuti di macchina.
  Siamo separati dalla strada comunale da 1,6km di strada bianca, percorribile in auto o a piedi.
  Siamo a circa 20min di auto dal mare, 40 km circa da Oristano.
  
  Per essere indipendenti nello spostamento e'preferibile essere automuniti o provvisti di bicicletta, con cui potrai arrivare in paese, che dista 4km dove prendere il bus. Ci sono però pochi autobus per spostarsi.
