  Description

  This Workaway is a unique opportunity, ideally suited for someone who is retired with caregiving experience. We are only interested in long term, greater than 3 months.
  
  Our 4 story, 15 bedroom home is in the final stages of construction. Our brother, a rastafarian singer/songwriter lives in a room on the main floor and is recovering from a stroke. We have family at the house helping care for him but its not consistent and we are looking for the stability of having someone who can aid him with daily tasks for a couple of hours a day (help keep him clean, cook a meal, do a little basic therapy like helping him walk as he leans on you for stability).
  
  We have king sized bedrooms with AC, some with private ensuites. Wifi is in the house and there are many beaches and pools on the family property. You can walk right out the back and jump in the ocean if you want.
  
  If this is you, then you will find the doors to a truly remarkable village open to you, one where you will find an experience unmatched in Jamaica.
  
  Our home is on my wife's family property. Given to her by her grandfather when she was 9 years old, she swore that she would build a home large enough so that nobody in her family would ever go without a roof over their head again. She has been building it for 10 years and it is nearing completion. It's right on the west coast just outside Negril. As far as the eye can see, it is all family so the environment is as safe and secure as your own back yard.
  
  My wife is the matriarch of the community. At 13 years old, she went before parliament in Jamaica and successfully petitioned to bring light to the village. Although her journey took her away, she never lost her bond with her community. If you are looking for a unique experience, one where you will be welcomed into a wonderful Jamaican family in the true sense of "irie" then this opportunity is for you. Nobody is a stranger to us, we just haven't met them :)

  The area is unique and there are many ways to become involved in the community. Come and spend time with a real Jamaican family in a beautiful community. This is where Bob Marley came to chill out. He built his little cabin by the sea on the family property and you can visit many of the places nearby where he meditated.

  Senior help for 65 year old man recovering from a stroke. Just a couple of hours/day. We are very flexible. Located in a beautiful village just outside Negril, Jamaica. Live on the ocean, be part of a wonderful family and village atmosphere the way Jamaica was meant to be experienced.

  The house is 15 minutes from Negril. It is right on the ocean with beaches nearby. A small boutique resort nearby is run by the family. Sightseeing, fishing, etc.
