A Flashpackers hostel with restaurant/bar, in Cuenca, Ecuador.
Our hostels have dorms and private rooms.
In the restaurant/bar we aim at creating a more green environment by not having T.V´s, canned goods, or microwaves.
Located in the centre, our rooftop has spectacular view of Cuenca and the Cajas mountains.
We are looking for help in marketing, social media, socializing, party planning, and other activities.

We are looking for volunteers to help out at the reception giving guests information about things to do in the area. You will be volunteering with travellers and locals, helping to improve your Spanish.
Furthermore, we are looking for volunteers to help redesign and remodel the hostel and bar-restaurant.
Also people with experience in marketing.
The type of volunteers we are looking for should be sociable and open to a new cultural experience.
Skilled in marketing (especially social media), travel, and communication skills.
What we expect from volunteers: responsible, considerate, enthusiastic, have initiative, helpfulness and positive attitude…Minimum one month commitment.....
We do not need people who need baby-sitters, policing or give us more work more than we already have.
The most important is that we both can share, learn and grow from your time with us…

We're directly across the street from a local farmers mercado 9 de Octubre, the Plaza Civica, six blocks from the bus station, three blocks from the main plaza "Parque Calderon" and a 5 minute walk to the tourist area "Calle Larga." Our Cuenca location boasts an amazing rooftop view of central Cuenca and the Caja mountains.

This was my first workaway stay and it was absolutely fantastic! Tony knows so much about the hostel life and traveling in South America. He is always willing to help me out and he really very knowledgeable! Cuenca is beautiful and it's a great place to stay for 30 days or more!

I originally planned to stay for 3 weeks at the Quito Hostel but ended up staying 5 weeks. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and you definitely can learn/practice your Spanish as most of the staff speak little or no English, so it makes you learn Spanish! :)

La estadía estuvo muy buena, compartimos el dormitorio con 2 amigos una argentina y un chileno, muy buen ambiente entre voluntarios.
Se puede usar la cocina en algunos horarios para cocinar.

Tony is a great guy, we became friends during my stay in Cuenca. I stayed there for one and a half week but we were like family, the whole staff. The help is not hard and in your freetime there is a lot to do in and around Cuenca. I can highly recommend this in Cuenca.

I stayed for almost 2 month in the hostel and it was the first time I volunteered. Everyone was nice and helpfull and on my last day Tony made a workshop about bartending and offered to help me plan my further travels.
All in all an awesome experience and I can really recommend to stay there.
