Description
Hi, My name's Paula. I'm Mexican. I'm 35 and I'm a teacher of English at my own language center. I'm married, My husband's name is Alfredo.He's 38 and He's a teacher.
My center is small, it's got 3 small rooms and we currently have about 50 students and 2 teachers.
I have been running the school since 2015. Our School is located in San Pedro Pochutla, in the Oaxaca state, about 15 km from the coast, near from beautiful beaches.
The vision of our school is to help general students, and also the poor students to improve their English in life skill. We need English speaking volunteers to visit our Center to help us with teaching English to children and teenagers. We're getting more poor children and teenagers wants to learn English so we need more volunteers to them with teaching. We will provide accommodation and local food. We kindly invite you to stay with us and with the other volunteers. You will get new teachin experience and culture sharing. Unforgettable moment in outstanding tourism place having Mexican culinary adventure. you can visit so many amazing places like beaches, mountains waterfall and other. We are close to many tourism places as Huatulco, Puerto Escondido, Mazunte, Zipolite.

Aide
TEACHING ENGLISH:
KIDS: No teaching experience is required, just a good at English speaking and enthusiasm to help the kids. You just follow the school curriculum. You can include playing educational games, role-playing, drawing simple pictures, taking part in social and cultural activities, and any other ideas you have in order to teach to help them more effectively in their English usage. There are books and some materials available to follow from the school.
ADULTS: The volunteers can teach the students English and help with the practice. There is a textbook for you to follow, but you also can help with:
- Correcting the students' pronunciation
- Reading skill
- Public speaking
- Guide them to discuss something in group and share the ideas to each other.

- Workshop with the students

Hébergement
Shared accomodation with other volunteer from Monday to Sunday during your participation in the project near to school. It is possible you have your own room it depends availability.

As a volunteer, your free time is on your own. There are some resorts nearby. We are located about 10 kilometers from Puerto Angel, ZIpolite and Mazunte. It's accessible by trucks or taxi for about 2 $ one way. We suggest you do your research Oaxaca coast - it has a rich cultural heritage and the people are friendly and welcoming. We hope that you will come and join us in order to make a difference and make the lives of others better.
