Aide
We're looking for someone who:
- can communicate in English
- is able to stay for at least 4 weeks with us
- is not afraid of getting your hands dirty
- has a general sense of responsibility
- has a proactive attitude
- you're at least 23 years old
- some experience in hospitality is a big plus
- has some basic cooking skills for breakfast ( scrambled eggs etc).
- Is neat & tidy!
This year we're looking for people to help us in a flexible way (we have a rotation for our helpers). So depending on the day, we will ask you to help in the following areas:
1. Household
You will help provide for the general needs of the lodge. This includes helping in the household with cleaning, making rooms ready for check ins, preparing breakfast for guests etc.
2. Office
You will help us to make sure our administration is up to date, and do check-ins and check-outs for our guests.
3. Cooking
Every week we will host a BBQ and/or Pizza night, the recipes are simple enough so that everyone will be able to assist
4. Shopping
Taking the company van to do groceries for the breakfast and dinner evenings
We offer:
- Free accommodation in our staff dorm
- Breakfast
- Minimum wage according to Portuguese standards (€ 618 per month based on a 40-hour work week, see )
- 50% payment increase after your 2nd month.
- Flat water and steady on-shore wind conditions in Óbidos lagoon
- Beaches for wave surfing on a quick car drive
- Be part of a friendly and enthusiastic team
Extra’s:
We really enjoy sharing our lodge and passion for water sports with our staff.
And so we’re very happy to let motivated staff participate in our kite courses, bbq’s, etc whenever we have availability.

We have been very fortunate to have her with us these past months, which made my life a lot easier!
Very good work mentality, super proactive (which makes my life very easy because half of the time she knows better what to do than I).
But most importantly she is super cheerful all the time which just makes everyone have a good mood.

All of us were pretty sad that she had to go back to France, but hopefully she'll join us at some point once more!
