Description
We're building a home and garden in an intentional permaculture community, and we'd love for you to be a part of it.
We are both permaculture educators and we're happy to share our knowledge.
We have planted hundreds of trees, we use sociocracy in our community design, we grow heaps of food, and we have built our own home out of straw and clay.
Brenna is an artist and Charlie is a musician.
We're in our late 30s and life is full of interesting creative and sustainable projects.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

You'll get to see how two artists live who are passionate about climate justice.
You will also get a taste of small town Western Australia, and or what it's like to live in an intentional permaculture community.Aide
The projects we're working on are varied and we keep things interesting. Currently we're making garden beds, building drystone rock walls, mulching the common land food forest, building a netted orchard, sanding and oiling timbers as we build our kitchen, and preserving the harvest from the garden.
We love when people bring photography skills, and if skilled carpenters, clay builders or other handypeople want to take on their own project like building an outdoor kitchen or a fire bath, there are loads of projects like that available.Langues parlées

We currently can offer a place to camp in the beautiful mari and jarrah forest, with a basic bush shower and compost toilet, and with power. Our place is about 100 metres away, where we have rain tanks for filling up drinking water, and wifi. We have camping gear if you don't have your own, and we have a beautiful indoor space set up as well in our new earth studio (which has power, and will have water connected in the next few weeks).
We are flexible about when and how much you do. We sometimes run our volunteer program around our other work, so we'll chat with you about which days/hours work best for all of us.Autres infos...
The town of Denmark is a stunning part of the world with beaches and forests all around, and is one of the must-see places in WA. It is a small town, so there is minimal local transport, but you can get here from a bus from Perth or Albany. Hitch hiking is safe and pretty common. There are great surfing beaches around and lots of local walks.
