Hello! Bienvenue!
My name is Manon and our family is bicultural French from France and bilingual English and French Canadian. We presently live in Montréal, Québec, Canada. We have hosted over 40+ workawayers throughout our lives and really love meeting and hosting people from all over the planet. We are well travelled, easygoing and used to living with other people and families.
I run a small business and work mainly from home. We have a 15 year old sporty child who is homeshooled and loves to play soccer and is discovering martial arts. We are an active busy family and can happily host positive independent workawayers who feel comfortable both spending time with our family and independently enjoying all that Montreal has to offer.
We live in an 90 sqm apartment in Montréal about 10 min walk from the metro and 15 minute metro ride to downtown. Depending on the period or the year we either have a bedroom available in our apartment with a single bed OR sometimes have available an independent studio apartment in the same building with a double bed, kitchenette and small living area that you and a partner could stay in. The studio space is small and suitable for a single person or couple and is not always available.
We always have things or projects that need doing. Some examples are:
-Excellent writing skills in English or in French as we write blogs, online guides and more
-Project regarding automated marketing using Hubspot, Mailjet etc
-Programming skills in WordPress as we have a website that need improvement
-Social media skills are always welcome in this day and age
-Helping out with graphic design projects for our small business
-Database or Excel skills always welcome
-Tutoring in any subject matter
-Playing games and sports with our teenager (especially soccer)
-Making a nice soup to share is always welcome!
-And whatever fun project we can come up together based on your skills and our needs
We are able to host people almost anytime and for a minimum of 1 months (2 to 3 months preferable when everyone is happy). In exchange for a room or an independent apartment we would ask that you give 25 hours a week of your time over a 5 day period. Tasks will be defined as per your skills and interests.
We do not have pets and unfortunately cannot host pets as we are sensitive to allergens. We are non smokers and really don't like the smell of smoke (yash....) so we cannot host regular day to day smokers. The room and studio apartment and building are no smoking areas.

There are many cultural and sports activities in the area. We live next to an indoor pool, skating rink, climbing wall. Montreal has so many cultural activities going on at all times of the year. The monthly bus and metro pass is about 94$ CAN per month which gives you access to the city.
