Description
Not far from the city of Ha Giang (about 6km), you can feel the taste of the countryside of Vietnam.
There are no vast fields, but unique terrace fields, jungle and green palm trees.
This is the home of Tay ethnic group. Although there are unique sceneries and favorable natural conditions, but the life of people here is difficult. They are farmers, with a low level of education, still following ancestral working methods.
We are a small local economic cooperative group, we mainly propose hometsay accommodation for tourists who want to experiment to stay with locals, but we also make and sell handicrafts and propose help and advices to tourists. We are constantly developing the homestay to improve the quality of our services and attract more guests. So we welcome all the volunteers from all over the world to come to us.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can learn about the culture of ethnic minorities in Vietnam, working on many different projects and support the community.
During your free time, you can visit and explore the surroundings; participate in teaching English classes to earn extra income or help and exchange with locals from the village.Aide
The help here include mainly bamboo and wood building, basic carpentry, DIY and sometimes some gardening. You will have to do manual work, including the use of tools like grinder, driller, handsaw, screwdriver or machete. Tasks like cutting, polishing and carrying wood or bamboos are frequent and we are looking for skilful and fit people.
However there is also a part of daily housework like cleaning, cooking, washing dishes and we also sometimes need help with the reception of tourists.
We prefer skilful and fit volunteers who already have some experience in carpentry, bamboo work or simply used to DIY, but because we have different types of work, we accept all profiles as long as you are motivated and ready to learn.
Any marketing and communication skills or original ideas are also welcome to help us to promote our homestay and products.
The helping time is around 5 hours per day but it doesn’t include the daily tasks like cleaning, cooking, washing dishes, etc. You can enjoy 2 days off per week.Langues

TO READ BEFORE APPLYING.
There are some important points that you need to consider before contacting us:
You will be hosted by Tay people with their own culture and way of life. We ask you to make an effort to try to adapt as much as possible to this way of life, which could mean changing some of your habits.
We want proactive volunteers who never hesitate to do anything they can to help us and not just wait for instructions.
We don’t want to repeat ourselves or remind the rules.
Cleanliness and tidiness is a very important thing in Vietnam and we don’t want messy people. Moreover it’s important in our quality requirement. We will ask you to keep, all the time, everything clean and tidy, even your own bed and personal space.
We can sometimes need some hard work, but if you are tired or you don’t feel comfortable with the task we are asking you, you should tell us and we will allow you some rest or can find you some other tasks more suitable for you.Informations complémentaires

If I don't put the five stars, it is only because we would appreciate that Tien introduce herself, the family, the project...the first feeling was a bit "cold".
But during the week we were happy to learn about her, her family, her culture. They are so brave, courageous, generous people.
