Hi there! My name is Dominique and I have been a member on workaway for over a year now! I am female, 23 years old, finished university, and I’m looking to do as much exploring as I can in the coming years. I love hiking, any kind of water activity, spending time with friends and just being around nature as much as possible. I hope to connect with fellow travellers:)) I had an amazing workaway experience in Norway this summer and am looking for more cultural exchanges now that I am in New Zealand. I will be travelling with a female friend and we are looking for workaways that will take both of us.

I am willing to learn anything! I have a lot of experience travelling abroad and organising trips. Work-wise, my experience is in primarily customer facing roles. I love to work as a team but I can also handle independent roles! I recently spent a summer volunteering with a sailing crew on a beach cleaning expedition in Norway. This was a very outdoors, manual role that helped me learn how to sail, live in close quarters with a big group of all nationalities, and to help in protecting the environment. I have worked as a housekeeper in my local hotel for a year, so I would be a great addition to any kind of housekeeping, cleaning roles. I would not shy away from any tough manual work and am up for anything! My last few workaways in New Zealand have been hands on in the garden and I love it!

What else ...

I love to hike and ski, I particularly enjoy planning excursions for everyone! I consider myself to be an absolute film buff, the perfect night in for me is watching a new film with everyone relaxing on the sofas. I love everything to do with the water and would love to learn to surf one day :) I also love to cook, mainly but not exclusively vegetarian, and am trying to become a better baker!
