Description

We are a couple from New Zealand - Aotearoa. I am a teacher and I enjoy helping people. Michael is a floor layer tradesperson. We have both enjoyed playing sport and have played a range of different sports throughout out lifetimes. We both grew up next to the beach and enjoy being in water. We are both Māori which is the indigenous culture of Aotearoa - New Zealand. We are both very proud of our culture, we like to share this with others and we love to learn about other indigenous cultures.
We are grateful to be travelling the world, exploring new places and finding the ‘wow’ moments that the world has to offer.

I am a qualified teacher in NZ. The subjects I teach are Physical Education, Health and Outdoor Education. I am also qualified to teach English but I have not taught this as a subject in a NZ school. Prior to being a secondary teacher I worked as a surf lifeguard, pool lifeguard and a swim teacher. I have a vegetable garden at our house and enjoy growing my own vegetables. I am fluent in English and can speak a little bit of Māori - the indigenous language of New Zealand.

Michael is a qualified floor layer. He is able to lay carpet, vinyl and tiles. He also has experience in the construction industry. He is knowledgeable in using tools and doing general handy man/house maintenance.

We are both fit, healthy and strong.

What else ...

I really enjoy playing board games and card games. I enjoy learning about different cultures and listening to people's stories. I enjoy being active and being in the outdoors, especially the beach. I enjoy most sports, particularly rugby.

Michael is a real people person and he enjoys meeting new people. He also enjoys watching sports and documentaries and learning interesting things about the world. He likes exploring new places, the outdoors, fishing and dogs.
