Hey guys!

My name's Jonny and I'm 24 from England :)

I graduated in 2022 with a degree in French & Spanish, so I've got a lot of love for foreign languages (though admittedly my Spanish is much worse than my French) and I went on to work as an English Assistant in Lyon for the year of 2022-23. Since moving home last Summer I've been working in a Pottery store and a cafe, figuring out what I'd like to do (the classic lost-in-their-20s moment)!

I've been retraining in Software Development and I hope that will result in something, but I also know that I'm really keen to get away and meet some new people and have some fun and exciting experiences again! My friend and I used Workaway back in 2019 and had a great time helping a family renovate their country home in France, and I'd love to do a similar thing this summer.

I'm a very sociable, easy-going guy who loves Film and Music, reading lots (I'll have my Kindle handy), being outdoors, playing boardgames, playing guitar and singing, cooking, and generally having a good time with other people! I have a lot of experience in hospitality roles as well as an English tutor/Teaching assistant so I'd be more than happy to help with your English if that's something you're after, and I've equally helped my friend with his gardening business on many occasions.

I really enjoy peaceful moments in life, and it'd be great to share some of those with other like-minded people in new settings this year. If you think I'd be suited to you then please feel free to reach out!

Moi c'est Jonny, j'ai 24ans et j'suis anglais :)

En 2022, j'ai fini ma licence de français et d'espagnol, j'ai donc beaucoup d'amour pour les langues étrangères ( j'avoue que mon espagnol est bien pire que mon français tristement) et j'ai travaillé en tant qu'assistant d'anglais à Lyon pendant l'année 2022-23. Depuis mon retour l'été dernier, j'ai travaillé dans un magasin de poterie et dans un café, tout en réfléchissant à ce que j'aimerais faire (le moment classique de la vingtaine perdue) !

Cet été, j'ai vraiment envie de voyager, de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et de profiter à nouveau d'expériences agréables et amusantes ! Mon ami et moi avons utilisé Workaway en 2019 et avons passé un excellent moment à aider une famille à rénover leur maison de campagne en France, et j'aimerais faire quelque chose de similaire cet été.

Je suis quelqu'un de très sociable et tranquil qui aime le cinéma et la musique, lire beaucoup (j'aurai mon Kindle près de moi), être en plein air, jouer à des jeux de société, jouer de la guitare et chanter, cuisiner et généralement passer de bons moments avec les autres !

J'ai beaucoup d'expérience dans l'industrie hôtelière et en tant que professeur/assistant d'anglais, donc je serais plus qu'heureux de vous aider avec votre anglais si c'est quelque chose que vous recherchez. J'aimerais bien également pratiquer mon français et, en général, je me sens très à l'aise avec la langue (quand je vivais en France je dirais que j'avais un niveau C1, alors que maintenant B2 plus ou moins).

J'apprécie vraiment les moments paisibles de la vie, et ce serait génial d'en partager quelques-uns avec d'autres personnes partageant les même valeurs dans de nouveaux endroits cette année. Si vous pensez que je pourrais vous convenir, n'hésitez pas à me contacter !

My degree was French & Spanish at University and I spent my last year (2022 - 23) living and working in Lyon, France! Sadly my year abroad during my studies was interrupted due to the pandemic so my Spanish has fallen behind but I can still understand a good amount and speak a little :) I also hold a level 5 TEFL Certificate from The TEFL Academy and I spent my year in French as an English Language Assistant working in a college and a lycée professionnel! I love languages and I'm happy to help others as well as learn new ones myself.
