Hei I’m Carina and I am looking for my next Workaway experience :)
At home I work as a primary school teacher in a bilingual environment (German and English). I love my job but I am currently taking a year off to travel the world 🌍
I am a very open-minded person, strong, easy-going, social, funny, positive and always looking for a new adventure. I love spending time outdoors and exploring nature.
I’m happy to learn new skills and to make new experiences.
I have spent a lot of time abroad, working and volunteering in many different fields. E.g. I was an aupair in the US, teaching in Iceland, studying in Canada and working on a wooden sail boat in Norway. My passion is to meet new people, get to know different cultures and try delicious food 😋

I have an international drivers license and am fluent in German and English. I have tried many different jobs in the past. I was working in a hospital kitchen, at the library, I took care of elderly people in a nursing home, did maintenance work on an old wooden boat, went sailing with school children... As you can see, I'm open for anything ☺️ Even though teaching is my profession, I'm open for new chores and a quick learner!
I love spending time in nature! During my free time, I enjoy cooking, running, biking, hiking, snowboarding, swimming or just simply reading a good book.
I'm very much interested in learning gardening skills. I have many plants in my apartment, yet unfortunately no garden where I can grow my own fruit and vegetables.
