    Description

We are a mix cultural family of five, who live between Australia and Japan.

In winter season, Nozawa Onsen is our home. Located in the Japanese Alps of Nagano prefecture, Nozawa is a traditional Japanese mountain village renown for their onsens (aka hot spring baths), powder snow and local pickles. Needless to say, the quality of the snow here in Nozawa is absolutely A++++. Nozawa has more than 1000 years of history and is one of the best ski town in Japan.

In summer, Nozawa offers mountain biking, camping, hiking, trekking, rafting and heaps of outdoor activities. For those looking for a retreat, yoga and meditation, music camps, aikido/judo camps, and cooking classes are available for your summer experience from the locals.

When we are not in the snow mountain, we travel back to rural Australia to live next to beaches which are easily accessible in 5-20 mins drive. We can't complain more about our lives as we love both the snow mountain and the ocean :)

We have hosted quite a number of aupairs/workawayers over the last few years both in Australia and Japan. However, after COVID hits in early 2020, we weren’t able to host anyone. We are excited to be able to host again!

We enjoy hosting self motivated, positive, independent and respectful travellers and hearing of their travels and experiences. We are flexible, so during your time off, you are free to go explore!

    AUS
In Far North Queensland, we have the famous Great Barrier Reef, Millaa Millaa Waterfall, Whitsundays Island, Daintree Rainforest and loads more. We also have a 150 hectares sugarcane farm in Far North Queensland, which we can offer those who are interested in farming.

We are a mix cultural family who lived in different countries, and base in between Japan and Australia. At home, we speak English, Mandarin, Japanese and sometimes Italian. So, expect the kids to throw you gibberish words and questions of all sorts. My husband and I used to travel a lot when we were younger as we were drawn to learning different cultural experience. We both are food fanatics!! We cook fusion meal everyday and are always open and excited about trying out new recipes.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, proactive, dynamic, open minded, responsible, communicative, tidy, honest and most importantly friendly with kids. We would like to see you as a part of our family, a big sister or brother who my kids can look up to. Our kids are somewhat bilingual, fluent in English, learning Mandarin and Japanese still. The more languages you can speak, the better! as they are always curious about learning other languages and culture.

My husband and I will alternate between each other being home, so you won't be totally alone with the kids.
As we will be working, we need workawayer to help with :
    - Babysitting
    - Walking the kids to school
    - Outdoor and indoor activities with the kids ( Going to parks, walk, painting, drawing, craft etc)
    - Simple cooking / meal prep
    - Light household cleaning tasks
    - Farming (only in Aus)

Due to recent moving, an extra help in light house construction will be much appreciated.

MIN STAY IS AT LEAST ONE MONTH, PLEASE DO NOT ENQUIRE FOR AVAILABILITY OTHERWISE.
NON SMOKERS ONLY, ALSO I DO NOT CATER FOR ANY SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENT.
