Hi there! I'm Christy, and I'm excited to be a part of the Workaway community. I'm a 27 year old from Bermuda with a passion for travel, cultural exchange, and helping others. Here's a bit about me: Im a foodie and animal lover - I enjoy cooking, art, hiking, nature, traveling, and puzzles. Previoisly I've lived in Australia for 2 years, and Canada for 1 year. I have also solo traveled around Europe and parts of North America pre 2020. I love to learn about other peoples culture, religion, way of life ect. When I travel I like immerse myself in the local culture, and get real feel and understanding of the community and it's culture.
I am an open-minded person, really interested in learning more about alternative/eco friendly/self sustainable ways of living. I believe in the power of cultural exchange and the joy of learning from new experiences. Workaway offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, contribute to meaningful projects, and explore the world in a unique way. I'm eager to lend a helping hand and contribute to your project or community in various ways. I'm a hard worker, adventurous, reliable, creative, easy going person. I have used Workway in the past when traveling in Europe and would love to do it again.
I'm open to a wide range of Workaway experiences, but I'm particularly interested in:
working on organic farms, with animals, or eco projects.
I would love to have the opportunity to learn more about home steading and anything to do with premature gardening.

Coming from a large family, ive aquired a variety of skills.
I have 10 years experience in Childcare, 2 years experience in Elder care, I also have experience in hospitality(bartending and waitressing), business administration, and retail. Along with 1,000 hrs of volunteer work for many differnt organizations and community projects.(cleaning houses, gardening, landscaping, painting houses, redoing floors, ect).
Not sure how much of that is useful here. But I'm a quick leaner and am eager to learn new skills or taking my what I already know to new levels and learning more from more experienced people.
