Hej, we are a small family, Katharina, Johanna and our almost 2-year-old son Mikko. After many years of living in Sweden, we have now moved to Germany for family reasons and live on Katharina's family's farm. Several generations live together here, from the youngest Mikko to the 93-year-old great-grandmother. We have three dogs and a horse, and sheep will soon be added. We are looking for a young person who would like to join our family as an aupair and accompany the youngest in our family as he explores the world. You are also welcome to get involved in gardening, farm work and contact with the animals. Since we live bilingually (Swedish/German) we are looking for someone who can speak Swedish. We would be happy to teach you German in return! With us you can expect a warm and positive environment, a love of Scandinavia and open and honest people.
Hej, Wir sind eine kleine Familie, bestehend aus Katharina, Johanna und unserem fast 2-jährigem Sohn Mikko. Nach vielen Jahren, die wir in Schweden gewohnt haben, sind wir nun aus familären Gründen nach Deutschland gezogen und wohnen auf dem Hof von Katharinas Familie. Hier leben mehrere Generationen zusammen, von dem Jüngsten Mikko bis zur 93-jährigen Uroma. Wir haben drei Hunde und ein Pferd, bald werden auch Schafe dazu kommen. Wir suchen einen jungen Menschen, der Lust hat als Aupair in unsere Familie zu kommen und gemeinsam mit uns den Jüngsten in unserer Familie zu begleiten, wie er die Welt erkundet. Gerne kannst du Dich auch bei der Gartenarbeit, Hofarbeit und auch im Kontakt zu den Tieren einbringen. Da wir zweisprachig leben (Schwedisch/Deutsch) suchen wir jemanden der Schwedisch sprechen kann. Gerne bringen wir Dir im Gegenzug Deutsch bei! Bei uns erwartet Dich eine herzliche und positive Umgebung, die Liebe zu Skandinavien und offene und ehriche Menschen.

With us you can get to know many different people and get an insight into country life, but the city is not far away and offers many opportunities for your free time. We also really enjoy going on excursions and of course you can join us.
Bei uns kannst du viele verschiedene Menschen kennenlernen, einen Einblick in das Landleben bekommen, aber die Stadt ist auch nicht weit weg und bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Deine Freizeit. Wir machen auch sehr gerne Ausflüge und Du darfst natürlich dabei sein.

Help
As an aupair, you spend a lot of time with us and our son Mikko. We hope that you simply have a positive attitude and want to get involved with a small child. Playing, singing, dancing, being outside, trips to the playground, walks in the forest and much more. Johanna speaks Swedish with Mikko and Katharina German. We would like you to also speak Swedish with Mikko. You are welcome to learn German with us or take a course.
Since we live in a house with several generations, it is important to us that you are respectful and consider the needs of others, such as a midday rest.
We started with a small vegetable garden and would be happy to receive help there too. In late summer there is some work with the ripe fruit from the fruit trees on the farm. Then you have to pick plums, pears and apples and cook them. Anyone who wants can join in!
Als Aupair verbringst Du in erster Hand viel Zeit mit uns und unserem Sohn Mikko. Wir wünschen uns dass Du einfach eine postive Einstellung hast und Lust, Dich auf ein Kleinkind einzulassen. Spielen, Singen, Tanzen, Draussen sein, Ausflüge zum Spielplatz, Spaziergänge im Wald und vieles mehr. Johanna spricht Schwedisch mit Mikko und Katharina Deutsch. Gerne möchten wir, dass auch Du Schwedisch mit Mikko sprichst. Du kannst aber gerne Deutsch bei uns lernen oder einen Kurs besuchen.
Da wir mit mehreren Generationen in einem Haus wohnen ist es uns wichtig, dass Du respektvoll bist und auf die Bedürfnisse der anderen Rücksicht nimmst, wie zum Beispiel eine Mittagsruhe.
Wir haben begonnen mit einem kleinen Gemüsegarten und freuen uns auch dort über Hilfe. Im Spätsommer gibt es einige Arbeit mit den Reifen Früchten der Obstbäume auf dem Hof. Da heisst es dann Pflaumen, Birnen und Äpfel pflücken und einkochen. Wer will darf mitmachen!

Accommodation
We have an apartment on the upper floor where Katharina, Johanna and Mikko live. Here you have your own room with access to a small private bathroom. We use the kitchen, living room and garden together. We have free internet, but not the fastest...
As a small family, we eat together and value good quality. There is breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a typical "fika". We also like to eat around the campfire or have a picnic on the meadow. We are welcome to cook together and if it suits you and you feel like it, you are also welcome to cook for us! We eat mostly vegetarian, but we also regularly eat organic meat and fish.
Auf dem Hof haben wir einen Wohnung im Obergeschoss, in der Katharina, Johanna und Mikko wohnen. Du hast hier ein eigenes Zimmer mit Zugang zu einem kleinen eigenen Bad. Küche, Wohnzimmer und Garten nutzen wir gemeinsam. Wir haben freies Internet, allerdings nicht das allerschnellste...
Als kleine Familie essen wir gemeinsam und legen Wert auf gute Qualität. Es gibt Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen, sowie ein typisches "fika". Gerne essen wir auch am Lagerfeuer oder machen Picknick auf der Wiese. Kochen können wir gern gemeinsam und wenn es Dir liegt und Du Lust hast, kannst Du auch gern mal für uns kochen! Grossteils essen wir vegetarisch, aber regelmässig auch Fleisch und Fisch in Bioqualität.
What else ...
We live in a beautiful rural location right next to the Teutoburg Forest. The region offers a lot of nature but also some small and larger places with history, castles, palaces and half-timbered houses. In your free time you can reach many things by bike or train. The next larger city is Bielefeld with the Sparrenburg, Altstad and a university that brings life to the city. There is a wide range of courses and events, with something for all tastes.
During our time in Sweden we have already gained a lot of experience with helpers and we have very fond memories of the exchange. What is important to us is a positive attitude to life, an openness to the unknown, honesty and, above all, motivation. We ourselves always have projects and ideas, "hanging out" is not our lifestyle. Nevertheless, we are also cozy and spend time around the campfire or with the animals. Of course you have a balanced amount of free time in which you can do whatever you want.
Wir wohnen wunderschön ländlich direkt am Teutoburger Wald. Die Region bietet viel Natur aber auch einige kleine und grössere Orte mit Geschichte, Burgen, Schlösser und Fachwerkhäusern. In Deiner Freizeit kannst Du vieles per Fahrrad oder mit dem Zug erreichen. Die nächste grössere Stadt ist Bielefeld mit der Sparrenburg, Altstad und einer Universität, die Leben in die Stadt bringt. Es gibt ein grosses Angebot an Kursen und Veranstaltungen, da ist für alle Geschmäcker etwas dabei.
In unserer Zeit in Schweden haben wir schon viele Erfahrungen mit Helfern gesammelt und errinnern uns sehr gern an den Austausch. Wichtig ist uns eine positive Lebenseinstellung, eine Offenheit dem Unbekannten gegenüber, Ehrlichkeit und vor allem Motivation. Wir selbst haben immer Projekte und Ideen, ein "Abhängen" und "Rumhängen" ist nicht so unser Lebensstil. Trotzdem sind wir auch gemütlich und verbringen Zeit am Lagerfeuer oder bei den Tieren. Natürlich hast Du ausgewogen Freizeit in der Du machen kannst, was Du möchtest.
