Description
We are a small family run organisation with a couple of Safari Lodges in the Kruger area in South Africa. We are in the Wildlife gateway of South Africa and are based in on the beautiful Blyde & Olifants River in private nature reserve. Surrounded by wildlife and offering a true nature based experience.

Its a chance to live off the beaten track in a remote and tranquil location and be central in a prime area for exploring the what the area has to offer. The traveller will be immersed in a local staff team and get to an understanding for the culture of the people here, given all staff live on site you build a bond with everyone in the camp.
Help
We would like some extra hands to assist with guest hosting, showing guests around the lodge and being a point of contact if the have questions. The role involves interacting with guests from all over the world and assisting with some simple organisational daily tasks. Being happy to talk to people from all sorts of backgrounds and having basic organisational and IT skills would be needed. Helping local staff to organise their days effectively. Enjoying using social media would be a bonus to assist us with some posts as well would be great.
Whilst the offer can seem exotic, its essentially hospitality in a more remote location than normal.

Accommodation
Accommodation will be in a house with shared bathroom and kitchen area. Food will be cooked with the person you share a house with. It is a remote location and transport is not readily available at affordable rates. So must be prepared for remote existence with manager and local staff team. There is wifi at the house and lodge.
What else ...
We are looking for minimum stay of 3 months. As we offer in house and outsourced activities to all our guests and the traveller will benefit from some complementary guest experiences, such a guided game drives, and bush walks but also they will benefit from our discounted trade rates for all the activities the Kruger area has to offer; such an exploring the Kruger National Park, or Blyde River Canyon or other experiences in the area. With local knowledge we can point you to off the beaten track experiences, such as opportunities to meet and learn from the anti poaching team or visit genuine community projects. Hoedspruit is a hub to Kruger. However, often it’s not all the things to do in the area that are the highlight but rather a cold beer on river, or sitting around the 'bush tv' (campfire) with great company. Its experiences like morning coffee watching the crocodile on the sand bar below the deck and the monkeys and baboons swinging in the trees that make it memorable. Its easy to disconnect with the outside world with only the update you want. (comp wifi if available)
