    Description

We are Daniela (1982) and Chris (1980)
As a married couple we live here in Galicia, Spain together with our dogs.
I, Daniela, also work remotely in IT security to earn our living. My husband takes care of the house and yard together with the changing volunteers.
For the financial support of our animals, we have founded a non-profit association based in Germany several years ago.

It is the most important for us to give the little souls as much love and quality of life as possible, after most have been brought to their current state by human violence, sometimes intentional, or negligence.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Living with the big pack gives you the opportunity to learn a lot about inter-canine communication. There is also the opportunity to learn more about the health aspects of the animals and the care measures that are necessary as a result. With the help of the dogs, which were handed over here because of their behavior, it is possible to learn a great deal about the body language of the animals and the correct handling of the corresponding signals.

We live here in a small, very open, energetically healthy community where everyone can benefit from spiritual exchange.

The work, which mainly takes place outdoors in nature, is grounding and offers the opportunity to "take a deep breath"

  • Help

    Help

Since we are running a sanctuary for disabled and behaving "creative" dogs in Galicia, Spain, we need help with housekeeping, with dog care (experience would be good), accompaniment to vet's visits, help with smaller construction projects and the maintenance of the facility. We also grow our own vegetables and fruit and need help in the garden.

    What else ...

We live in a very small town with no shops.
The next village with everything you need is about 2km away from us. There is also the next bus stop.
You can reach us by plane (Santiago de Compostela) as well as by train and/or (Flix-)bus. Depending on which means of transport is chosen, we are happy to pick up volunteers within an hour's drive.

Galicia offers many recreational opportunities in terms of nature and culture. There are very many waterfalls, natural springs, vineyards, forests, valleys, rivers and historical cities. There is a national park south of us. North and west of us, the Atlantic can be reached in 1.5 hours by car. In the next village there is a free river pool and sports facilities such as tennis
