    Description

Hello! We have a beautiful farm in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and a lot of sheep.
We are situated in the mountains, surrounded by peaceful natural sceneries. We are in the 'Blue Zone' of Costa Rica, very close to the coast with amazing beaches only 20 minutes away. The farm is quite secluded, but 30 minutes away we have the beach town of Samara, where you can find shops, restaurants and bars.
We have a big finca (spanish for farm), so we have plenty of space to hike and explore nature. In our land you'll find beautiful old-growth exotic trees and plants, birds and insects. The property has a nice little river where we go swim sometimes.
We have a large flock of sheep, 4 dogs and a horse. They're all very friendly and well behaved. The sheep need to have a clean home, and need to be moved to their paddock of the day, they need water and the the little lambs with their moms need special attention sometimes.
So we need help taking care of them.
This workaway opportunity will suit someone who wants to connect with nature in a beautiful environment, far away from the cities. We have hot weather and the beach is always close, so anyone looking for a tropical destination, this will be a good choice.
The daily routine would include: move the sheep, clean their house, feed them hay and salt, keep the water tanks clean, sometimes we'll need to wash some of them. Pick lemons, squeeze lemons.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

The old ways of life still exist in our area. 30 years ago there was no electric power around here and people still ride their horses to move the cows around. The Blue Zone of Costa Rica is known for its natural beauty and climate.
We speak Spanish, French and English so we are happy to help anyone with a desire to learn one of those language.

With your time off you can explore nature at the property,, there's enough to explore that it's easy to stay here weeks at a time. However, the beaches are so close that you might want to spend your days off sun tanning and swimming! We would drive you there
It is an opportunity for someone with an adventurous side!
