Description
We're a couple (33 and 34 years old) who live in a beautiful castle in Northern Germany with our daughter (3 months old). The historic castle is located near Rostock in a little village. The train station is within 4 minutes walking distance and it only takes you 15 minutes to Rostock city center which offers all kinds of amenities and entertainment.
We're fluent in English and French and speak some Spanish, Dutch and Norwegian. We live and work here (as an engineer and a psychotherapist). In our freetime, we love to be outside, take our daughter for strolls, go on mountainbike tours, visit the seaside or Rostock or spend some time in our garden. We're planning on having rabbits this year.
In the past, we used to live in different places in Germany and abroad (France, Netherlands, Norway). We still love to travel, especially by bike, and enjoy meeting locals from all over the world.
We're interested in sustainability and try to reduce or energy consumption. We're both vegetarians and love to prepare fresh meals using organic ingredients every day. Both of us have lived in shared flats and we strive on building up a community in this castle consisting of people of all ages. For that purpose, some of the rooms still need to be refurbished.Types of help and learning opportunities

We love receiving visitors and sharing our daily life. Since our project of creating a space for communal living is just about to begin, we have plenty of space and are keen on having guests who just love to talk, go together for walks, cook meals together etc.
We love to share our passion for nature, fresh vegetarian meals, and sustainability in general. Both of us love discussing about philosphical or political topics and learning about different world views. We also play board games with our neighbours regularly and would be happy to introduce you to the friendly people of this village!Help
Due to the size of the building and our garden, there's always plenty to do around the castle. You could help us with some gardening, preparing meals, cleaning up, refurbishing rooms or animal care (once we have our rabbits).
We are renting holiday flats in the castle, but we never ask Workawayers to help with this business activity. We only ask help for the house as a family.Languages spoken

The next supermarket is 3 km from the castle. You can either go by train or use one of our bicycles to go shopping. Of course, you can also accompany us, whenever we go shopping by car.
