I live in Normandy mountains, about 2h30 away from Paris in a small isolated house surrounded by fields, with many animals. This is a very beautiful place, without any neighbour.

Living in a quiet place in the countryside surrounded by animals, observing how they behave and communicate and taking care of them with respect and love is very enriching. It's a rewarding way to get out personal comfort zone to learn focus, to put meditation into practice and develop empathy.
I wouldn't define it as an experience, but a beginning of a switch from HAVING (experience, fun, holydays, a job, money, friends.....) to BEING (dedicated to other beings, patient, aware, kind... tired also sometimes!)
I enjoy discussing so once the job is done, I will be available and happy to talk about anilmals and many others ....
Help
Living in a place with many animals requires regular cleaning to provide a clean and pleasant environnement. Volunteering here is not only about petting cats or dogs after a lie-in and a horse riding afternoon (the horses here aren't ridden any more) or a walk around with dogs in the countryside please keep this in mind before applying.
As I live with many animals together, please consider that safety is my first preoccupation, so :
- I don't host workawayers travelling with kids or animals :)
- I need help from mature and autonomous people only,
- I'll ask careless people to leave earlier than predicted.

Accommodation
A bedroom in a mobil home shared with the cats.
During the summer, if you have a tent, you can pitch it in the garden.
We will have to share the bathroom and the kitchen.
We are a vegetarian home only. We have to be able to help and cook in the kitchen. We will share most of the meals.

I can pick you up and bring you back to the bus or railway station when you arrive and leave.
A car or a bike would be usefull to easily visit the beautiful landscape, small villages around. It is also a right place to hike.
