  Description

  Dear volunteer!
  We are glad to become your home here on the chilean Pacific´s coast.
  We are a small family of two moms and a 6 years old son. We work online and sometime outside home.
  We request basic and easy help with a homecare and childcare. All these with English practice. During over 8 years of volunteer´s hosting experience, we had lots of lovely moments and shared with diverse people all over the Globe. Some of our volunteers are our friends since their staying, some of them we hosted more that once. We are a perfect host when you would like to take a pause in your long South American trip, finishing an adventure or starting it in Chile.
  We live in a marvelous climate zone: never hot, never too cold, and it is a bit rainy and foggy only from may to september.

  Here you are near the Pacific ocean, calm and secure area, 10 minutes walking to the wide beaches to stay, surf and walk, even swim - but notice the water is about 13 degrees only.
  
  You can climb and sandboard on the Concon Dunes Natural Reserve, walk in Concon Cliffs Natural Monument, hike to the top of Mauco hill, get through Valparaiso patrimonial districts, take birdwatching tour from there or even go to La Campana Natural Park for a day or more.
  
  It is possible to learn some part of different cultures and some words as well, we have kids books, and would share with you our streamings as Deezer, Curiositystream & Storytel if you would like to.
  
  We cook sometimes, so, will be pleased to exchange some recipes with you, we can teach you some basic Russian and help you with your Spanish.
  
  You can learn childcare with a bright and lovely kid - he is smart and curious, he is funny and likes to learn and chat.

  Aide

  We mostly need three types of help
  
  We ask you to help us to take care of our son. Read books, play with him, bring hom from the kindergarten (we live close to it), or take him for a walk to the nearest square and instill in him important values ​​of life. If you know how to educate, it would be nice if you could in a "playing I learn" way teach him English, or basic math and language. Help us keep the child's room always tidy, to teach him to organize his toys and clothes, and become more self-sufficient.
  
  Generally for child care we need you in the afternoon for 3-4 hours after 5 pm and before 9 pm. Sometimes this schedule can vary according to our needs, and we conversate it with you to fit your plans well with ours.
  
  We don't have a nanny, so we ask you to give us a hand to take care of the flat, keep it clean and tidy, we need your help with basic home tasks as loading/unloading the dishwasher, hanging clean clothes, vacuuming or wet clianing the floors and similar. A part of your time is spent on these, but not more than 2 hours a day, always inside your day-help-schedule, - so, your free time is for you only.
  
  We are looking for a native or fluent English speaker and we ask you to help us to practice it.

  We are highly interested in learning and practicing English. We can teach you Spanish if you are interested.

  Hébergement

  A private room with a single bed and cupboard, window with green and city area vew, semi-private bathroom.
  We provide you with basic supplies such as bedding, towels, shampoo. Your bathroom is semi-private because sometimes we have visitors who use it and sometimes our son bathes in your tub /in our bathroom we don't have it/. Please use towels we provide as our kid paints with gouache in the bath.
  
  Access to all the shared areas as the balcony, the kitchen, the living room.
  
  Our refrigerator and pantry are yours - use all simple foods we have to your liking.
  
  We cook sometimes, so if you wish to cook you are welcome. If we go out and don't eat at home, you cook for yourself. We respect your diet, you will have a varied selection of basic foods in our house to cook your meals if it is something special.
  
  When we wash clothes we wash yours too - we have a washing machine at home. We use heating, water and electricity with care, we ask you to help us to take care of the Planet and its irrecoverable natural resources this way.
  If you smoke, we ask you to do it outside the house, - not inside, nor on the balcony. If you meet with your friends you are welcome to use our condo shared areas, but we ask you not to make parties inside our flat.
  
  It is important to mention that since we do not offer the employment contract, we do not pay contributions or health insurance, please have your health insurance updated because in Chile an access to medicine is very expensive. We suggest you to have the medicines/pills that you usually take, because in Chile they do not sell you some without a prescription.
  
  We live in a condo, on the 4th floor from the street level with a lift. We can pick you up by car on the closest bus stop when you come and help you with your luggage.

  We are 10 min walking from the Playa Negra beach and if you would like to vary, you have three more beaches rather close to us as well.
  There are green areas 400 meters walking from home. Our area is rather secure and quiet.
  There are three supermarkets Santa Isabel, Tottus, Lider 20 min walking from home.
  There are local minimarket, greengrocery, grocery, bakery, butchery and cafe 3 min walking from home.
  There is a bus stop 3 min walking from home
  You are really close to the Concon Dunes, Concon Cliffs Reserve, as well there are bird and sea lions colonies in Reñaca you can visit.
  We rarely travel by car but if we go for a trip during your staying you are welcome to share our small escapings - if we can take you we invite you with us.
