A riding business based in the Andes which has been established for 10 years, leading riding tours in Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina
Our clients come predominantly from the UK and USA, although a number also come from mainland Europe.

Requirements: A VERY flexible attitude, willingness to ‘muck in’ and help with anything needed doing, good spoken and written English, clean driving licence, competent riding ability – after a few days helpers will be expected to be ‘fully operational’ – riding out horses (often leading 1 or 2). A basic knowledge of Spanish would be helpful (intensive Spanish courses very moderately priced available in Quito).
Although a lot of riding is involved (depending entirely on the applicant’s ability) this is not a job where ‘just riding’ is involved, there are a lot of other aspects.
For the right applicant, there is the possibility of guiding guests on day trips

Logement

Accommodation at where the horses are kept is a private room with bathroom in the house. Occasionally, when there are two people working, the room and bathroom will be shared. There is a good bus service to Quito (two hours) but water supply (and occasionally electricity supply) can be erratic.
