We care for our pets & animals very well, as we are very fond of them all.

Our home is a 1920's semi modernized stone farm house with built on extension, shared family large bathroom, shower recess & rooms are quite large & comfortable. We are looking for singles or couples that can be varied in their skills, the following help is not all required at the one time, it greatly depends on seasons & what is needed at different times of the year:

Most requirements are just general tiding of property, moving and chopping up of fallen trees, fencing, collection of fire wood, weeding, small building and maintenance repairs, raking and stacking of wood etc. As we also have a large garden area, it would be good to have someone gardening and helping to prepare soil for planting, we are also needing help with designing and building our own greenhouse from recycled materials, general tiding of area around house, sweeping, watering plants, removal of leaf and dirt litter. .

As an integrated part of the family while you stay with us, we would gratefully appreciate it if you could help with our DAILY food preparations & washing meals dishes, sometimes we also are needing help with general house cleaning duties, helping with the hanging up of clothes to dry after washing and sometimes cleaning & organizing of household fridges. It would be great if you could help us to also care for our pets/animals, feeding, exercising, cleaning their living areas and just general care. We are sure you will get to love them as much as we do and enjoy the interactions.

Our Daughter sometimes needs help with school home work, if you feel comfortable.

If you have a vehicle, caravan or camper trailer, we are very happy to also help or supply you with your vehicles tyres, battery, or repairs (within our time allowances), in exchange for any extra help you can give us outside of Workaway food & accommodation agreement.

Please note, our general payment agreement will be only, food & accommodation, in exchange for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.

PLEASE BE AWARE: (as advised by Australian Border Force Security)
THAT YOUR STAY WITH US REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE A "WORKING HOLIDAY MAKER VISA 417".

WE HAVE A POLICY OF AT LEAST ONE WEEK STAY, AFTER THIS TIME WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO DISCUSS A LONGER TERM STAY, DEPENDING ON HOW YOU FIT IN WITH OUR FAMILY LIFE.

We try to accommodate in every way we can, we are exploitative with food choices & happy to share with you what you eat or what we eat. If you have a special dietary requirement, please share with us on your arrival or preferably before, so we can make arrangement to acquire the ingredients you need before your visit.

As we are a small town & live remotely, we do have to travel nearly an hour to get our main supplies for food, if we arrange with you prior, to have to pick you up from one of these areas (Pt Augusta or Pt Pirie) we will try to take you to do some shopping before we return home. Otherwise, if possible, we can arrange a special trip to take you to pick up some food that serves your dietary requirements. It is all about making you feel at home & comfortable.

On agreement & assessment, it may also be possible to provide you with the use of one of our vehicles or bicycles to explore some of our local area.

On any days that aren't convenient to pick you up from Port Pirie or Port Augusta, there is a pick up & drop off bus point between Port Pirie & Port Augusta we can manage much better, it is only about 20 mins or 40 kilometers from us. Ask the bus company to drop you off at "High Way 1 Wilmington turn off (A1 & B56) Winnanowie", the bus company to catch out of Adelaide is Premier/Stateliner. If traveling from Victoria, there is also a Firefly bus out of Melbourne that will connect in Adelaide.

Looking forward very much to meeting & getting to know you, having some fun memorable times and for you to join our family while your here.
