Help us with our farm
Description
I'm a young man, starting up this farm since 2010,
there's lots going on, planting, sowing, weeding, maintainance, harvesting, building different ecological infrastructures, a lot of food preserving (jams, chutneys, wines, drying,...), making cheese,
the farm grows more then 60 different vegetables, there's grass, for hay for the two cows, who get milked from November till March-April, the food for the cows and chickens is self grown, there's seed selection going on, including a few almost extinguished local vegetables types.
There are a few disabled people who work on the farm once a week,
we make our own compost, the farm is almost completely self-sufficient, everything is done organically.
I offer food 7 days per week three meals per day, most of what we eat we produce our own, sometimes we eat meat(not often) all from the farm. Once a week we make pizza in our clay woodoven, once a week we make home baked Belgian fries(the best in the world;) )
there's a computer free to use
wifi free to use
bikes are available free to use
touristic information for exploring Belgium in the afternoon or weekend
washing machine free to use
Good way to learn many thing on organic farming
Usually there are a few other guests from all over the world in the house
Feel free to ask any questions

Thank you Wouter!
This was my first workaway site, and it was a great start. I learned so much in those short three weeks, and am so grateful for each day I spent on the farm. From building a greenhouse, to harvesting some of my favorite veggies, to fixing a door frame, to inventing a new chicken coop, the work was varried and enjoyable. Wouter more

The month I spent here was my first Workaway project, and it was a great way to kickstart my journey! The farm is a magical place. Everything is recycled, all of the fruits and vegetables are organic and fresh, and there was always a great sense of community in the house. Wouter can tell you anything and everything about farming and more
