  Description

  Are you looking for an adventure, beautiful nature and some important work?
  
  We’ve taken on a remote 100-acre forest farm in Northern Sweden with a view to creating a rewilding/retreat centre and possibly potentially an off-grid community in the longer-term future. We are at the birthing stage of the project. Ask us for our website link
  
  There are a variety of jobs to help us with getting set up: currently we very much need help with processing timber for next years firewood.
  
  You will have the opportunity to help with other general tasks such as clearing snow in the winter and various outdoor work while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery.
  
  Accommodation is in a guest cottage with a kitchen and lounge area, walking distance to a vast, beautiful lake for wild swimming (or in winter, ice-baths!), mountain walks (and ski-ing) and stunning forest on the doorstep. We can also accommodate anyone who may wish to come in a live-in vehicle or camp.
  
  We have full-time guardians staying in the main farm-house when we are not there, who would liaise with you on our behalf. We will be there ourselves June-September and happy to host workaways during this time. We are friendly, happy to share our experience and activities, good food and chats around the fire outside. We like to welcome adaptable, conscientious people who enjoy wild nature, good conversations, healthy food and an interest in community living.
  
  This is a very fairly place! We can offer transport to/from the nearest big town, which is Östersund. There are no shops or services close by, but there is a hotel with a bar/restaurant and a campsite with a ski slope/bike park.
  
  Accommodation and food will be provided in exchange for 20-25 hours a week per person, and you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the beautiful local landscape.

  There are a variety of jobs to help us with getting set up: odd repairs to buildings and light outdoor work whilst we figure out what else needs to be done. Most important right now is to start processing timber for next years logs.

  Hébergement

  Accommodation is in a shared guest cottage with kitchen and lounge area. There are 4 x double rooms in the cottage, two of which are bunks. You may have the whole cottage to yourselves or share with other workaways. Sometimes you may be accomodated in a guest bedroom in the farmhouse ig cottage is being rented out. We are walking distance to a vast beautiful lake for wild swimming (or currently ice-baths!), mountain walks and mountain biking (and ski-ing) and stunning forest on the doorstep. We can also accommodate anyone who may wish to come in a live-in vehicle or camp.

  We are located in ANSÄTTFJÄLLEN - Sweden's Alaska. This is a stunningly beautiful and wild area - mountains, waterfalls, canyons, lakes and endless forest. We have local ski slopes and cross-country ski-ing on our land, nearby dog-sled and snowmobiling. Summer is incredible for hiking, fishing and lake-swimming! We have a boat you can use on the lake, skis etc.

  We can & have accomodated digital nomads, but currently we do not have a wifi connection. There is good 4/5g that we tether to and have easily been able to work from for various online work including zoom etc. We can advise on sim cards etc if needed. We may get wifi connected this year.
