Located at 30 km from Jaisalmer in the Thar desert, our camp is quiet and peaceful, the stars are sparkling in the night! The camp is managed and run by locals from Damodra Village. We love sharing our culture and traditions with our guests and volunteers. While most of us speak English fairly well, we need help with written English. Our volunteers can help with answering our emails and dealing with calls from potential guests. For volunteers who would like to put in some physical work, you can always help with our general camp maintenance (dishes, cleaning, garbage recycling…). For those who are interested in learning other skills, such as cooking Rajasthani food, we can arrange for that as well! We have some local musicians that perform in the evenings, if you are a musician yourself, they would be more than happy to share their knowledge with you. Perhaps they can teach you to play our traditional Indian instruments. For a few hours of work a day, we can provide accommodation in our Swiss tents and 3 meals a day, but beyond this, live and work daily with us can give you another view of Rajasthan.

We have a small organic farm project in exchange to bio dynamic. We try to grow vegetables and fruit for our own use and the use of the volunteers. There are sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. No commercial things. .

Help needed on the 20 June to end July 2013 We farm alpacas on the outskirts of the beautiful hilltop town of Montone,north of Perugia in Umbria. However we live in the historic market town of Umbertide overlooking the River Tiber and our beautiful apartment is built into the old town walls and is the perfect place from which to explore the rolling Umbrian countryside. Just a few steps from the apartment you'll find yourself in the centre of the market square - perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening drink - with plenty of amenities including cosy restaurants, an indoor swimming pool, parks and river walks. We need a couple, or two friends, to come and help to care for the alpacas while we have a holiday. However we will spend a week with you first to show you the ropes. If you have cared for horses , livestock or indeed alpacas the work is not onerous and there is an english-speaking vet on hand.

Charles, Ellie and 4 year old Alexandra (Lexi)An English family live on an olive farm on the edge of the Ionian Sea in the Western Peloponnese, 20km west of Ancient Olympia. We have 400 olive trees, which produce approximately 2 tons of olive oil annually. We also produce a large amount of our own food from an extensive vegetable garden. Animals include chickens,ducks,turkeys,sheep,pigs,a cow, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

We are a couple who have swapped the office for the outdoors and are renovating an old stone farmhouse in the beautiful and spectacular mountains of the Cevennes region in the south of France. Our land is in a secluded valley just 5 minutes walk from a small village and 5 minutes drive from a medium sized town which has all the typical Southern French characteristics as well as lots of local idiosyncrasies. So far we live in a caravan in a barn while we work on the farmhouse and cultivate the garden.
