Description
We are a hosting family on the Tennessee River. We often have visitors from all over the world. We usually have several projects, some very interesting, some mundane to make this a better place for ourselves and travelers. We are looking for people, 1 or 2 at a time, who want to work here and enjoy the peaceful river life. We take a proactive role in correcting your English grammar and word choice

Work is varied. There may be carpentry work, garden work, maintenance, dock work, boat work, deck work, concrete work, windmill projects. Etc. we try to tailor what needs to be done with your skills and abilities or your desire to learn certain skills.

English, some Spanish, some Italian. (NOTE: We have traveled extensively and are understanding of all levels of language skills)
Logement
You will most likely have your own room. Bathroom (there are 4) and showers (there are 2) are shared with the household. You can eat with us. We are looking for someone who can make themselves part of the household, you can take a turn cooking if you know how. We share house chores, cleaning, cooking, putting away.

We like people who can blend into the household. We love to talk and visit with our guests, and in the course of a stay we will learn a lot about them and they will learn a lot about us, however, we also like it if we and you can have our alone time to do what we desire in our free time, like a household. We can let our guests know what there is to do around here. You can go with us when we go to town.

Nico and Gaelle were with us for 3 weeks. I was very impressed with them. They were good houseguests, clean, polite, helpful. It was fun and educational to speak with them of their lives in France and of their opinion of the current times of France and the EU. We enjoyed helping them practise their English.

We were with tom et joan 3 weeks et 3 weekend to visit the tennessee. We are very happy with our trip.
Tom et Joan are two persons very nice. they are good cooks. Joan is very funny, tom loves talking about everything.
It was our first woofing and it was very cool. I made paint and nico made maintenance and gardenning. It's not just us who work. more

Joey was with us for about 2 weeks. We enjoyed having him in our home and he was a willing helper with various projects. Though inexperienced in many maintenance and building type skills, he was willing to tackle and learn anything before him. I would recommend him as both a good volunteer and good company in your home or farmstay. He is more
I spent 2 weeks with Tom and Joan, doing mostly painting. The amount of work was very realistic, and always interesting to see what new color of paint Joan would come up with. I really enjoyed my first workaway experience with them.
We have had Jack and Emily at our place for about a month. They are real nice people, very respectful to you property and things and courteous to you. They are real good workers, self starters. They take an interest in what they do. We had a good time exchanging with these guys and would gladly do it again.
