Area: Emilia–Romagna/ Bettola (pc)Ciao we are Elena and Mauro, living and restoring a small Ancient hamlet in a panoramic position at an altitude of 750 m in the Piacenza (Emilia Romagna) high hills, not far from interesting artistic sites in peace and silence. 26 hectares (18 ha woodland) 100% organic. 2 horses and few goats. We are opening a small agritourism where have teaching facilities and do cultural activities and bed and breakfast iNTEREST: ART, CULTURE, MUSIC, TRADITIONS, Fantasy, CINEMA, health consciousness and everything that is interesting and exciting for our mental and spiritual growth. We are interested to know your culture to interchange experiences Your help is welcome to work on the setting for the fantasy work in summer (little fairy hut, path, gardening) and provide for the wood, to take care of the animals and make maintenance work with buildings, During this period the volunteers will live in the cottage (really pretty) that i use for the agriturism during spring- summer and i provide for food stocks and supply of wood. When i'm home we use to have meal together as a family , changing roles in the kitchen (Who cooks doesn't wash the dishes ...and viceversa). But not always, just when we are all in the right mood We like to make culinary experiments, handmade pasta, bread, and we are delighted to taste your different food. Sometimes, if i'm busy or away you will arrange your own with autonomy (however, I provide the basic supplies) Work in WINTER- SPRING- AUTUMN House SITTING and animal- sitting required when I am away for a few days... or longer. At this time I prefer people with an appreciable sense of adaptation. You should know that we heat only with wood. A part of progress has not yet entered from us. It 's very romantic, admittedly, but sometimes tiring. SUMMER 2014 next summer : language courses for teen agers using theater as a method of learning, possibly with little show at the end of the course. At the time i'll need specifically theater students, teachers, artists in general, education experts wich are also animal lovers (to help me take care of my beloved 2 horses and other pets) IN ANY CASE Alway and principally need help with our farm ( weedind , self sustaining vegetable garden and so on ), in the kitchen and in the little bed & breakfast( cleaning and breakfast preparing) Welcome people with fantasy, imagination and indipendence ACTIVITY In every period Need help 3/5 hours a day but eventually the volunteers help as long as they feel like. I'm flexible and wish you have plenty of time for yourself.
Area: Koh Mak/TratWe are sorry, but there are no more spaces available. We are full! Koh Mak is situated on the Far East end of Thailand's gulf coast, very close to Cambodia. It is a small peaceful island, perfect for enjoying the rhythms of rural Thailand.
Area: Lower NormandyHi, My husband, Barry, and I are looking for some help with general maintenance, gardening and renovating a small "animal house" in the garden, ( which stores garden equipment etc). There is a small old, stone cottage for accommodation but as it is not open in the winter and we go away for the cold weather, we only need helpers from spring until autumn each year. We first came to France for a visit in January 2002 to stay with friends for a weekend. Before we went back home we fell in love with, and bought, a tiny cottage . It was a total surprise to us, and all who knew us, and was meant to be a holiday home, but we came more and more often until we decided that we wanted to live here full time. We have wonderful panoramic views across the Vallee de la See, there is no light or noise pollution and there was plenty of work for us to do, so when I retired (I was a Police Officer, so we were only in our mid to late 50's) we turned the barn into a slightly bigger house and turned the weed patch into a garden. We love meeting new people so we let the little house out and have lots of visitors in the summer, but try to fit in as much travelling as we can ( we have a camper van and also like to go long haul in the winter). I am vegetarian and grow as many vegetables as I can and am learning about plants too, Barry seems to just be continually lawn cutting! I like going for a short ride on my bike most mornings and will swim whenever we venture into a town with a pool or go to the beach on a hot day, otherwise the garden keeps us busy. I love meeting people and would appreciate some help and advice around the property. If anybody could improve my computer skills and French too that would be a bonus.

Area: Rio de JaneiroNo availabilities for April and May, note that work on my sitio is NOT compatible with Worldcup Football ! Belgian expat (52) living on a sitio (country estate)with coconut and limetrees, in lovely Saquarema, known for its stunning nature, for its long desolate beaches, for surfing. You can help me - depending on the season - with gardening, cooking and helping out on the plantation (pruning, weeding, fertilizing). None of the work needs special knowledge, good physical condition (m/f) and standing the heat in summer required! Some boots and cotton trousers come in handy too! If not, I've got some boots. Looking forward to be introduced into yoga. Something more about me: I started my carreer as an airforce officer(12 years), and before coming to Brazil I ran my own beach-hotel in Belgium for 14 years. In between those two jobs, I worked as a travel guide and CEO of a Belgian amusement park. I don't smoke. In my head, I'm still in my 30's ! Used to do roadracing competitions (17 yrs), I travelled a lot too (Australia, Nepal, Indonesia, 20+ African countries, etc ..) Played the French horn. Judo instructor. Briefly, I think I'm someone that doesn't really fit in one box. There are bikes available. Capoeira instructor nearby. Relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine, a good book or a movie, a dip in the pool (in winter only for the brave!) enjoying a fantastic star-spangled sky without lightpollution Please take into consideration that winter in Europe is (hot!) summer in Brazil! And finally ... I think one is never too old to learn, so come over and improve me with your skills and knowledge! I like having a good conversation, about any item you like, in any language you prefer on my list! IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK IF YOU NEED VISA FOR BRAZIL !!! IMPORTANT TOO: I am someone you can count on, but I expect the same of you guys ... What else? I've got a friend with a house on the beach, spending weekends or extending your stay with him is possible ...
