Area: LeinsterWe would love a person (or couple) to stay with us for about 2 weeks in September to help develop a kitchen garden and children’s garden for our new home close to Dublin city. Tasks would include: Dig about 20 holes to plant trees, mainly fruit trees. Build compost area from pallets. Build raised beds. Create a fruit cage for cherries trees. Remove weeds. Move rocks and create a path from the rocks. 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday. We are flexible with the times. If a couple, then some help around the house such as preparing and cleaning up after meals, washing, helping with the children, and/or some DIY such as putting up a handrail, house name sign, removing broken doorbell, etc. We have an attic room with double bed, wardrobe and desk. We have good internet access. Shower and toilet room for your use is also is the attic. We have dinner together as a family and discuss our day and various topics. This is a great opportunity to improve your English.
Area: Leipzig, SaxonyWe are an autonomous house project that provides rent-free live/work space for its members, as well as services to the neighborhood. In the Coworking space, parents can work and bring their kids along. Volunteers babysit. In the Café/Bar, we offer dinner on some weekdays and breakfast on sundays. Volunteers prepare food or man the bar. Or renovate! :-) We offer food and lodging in exchange for a 25 hour week*. We try to schedule two days off per week, but these are not necessarily on weekends. * 5 hours are typical domestic tasks that you would be doing in your own apartment anyway (cooking, cleaning, shopping).

Area: MunsterNon-smoking family of 4, plus 1 who is married so longer lives at home!! We have house pets and a large garden. We live in a rural part of Co Cork and lead a very simple life. We are trying to develop a veg and fruit garden to be self-sufficient. We happy to take you to and from the bus route. We will take you to visit some local places if we have time. I am a qualified teacher and we are happy to help you with learning the English language, don't worry if you are very rusty we don't mind!! As the work is physical and outside you need to be comfortable bending, using simple garden tools, rake, spade, fork etc. We are happy to teach you but please this is not the place for you if physical outdoor work does not appeal to you. You WILL get dirty :) We share the living day to day tasks like preparing meals, washing up after dinner and light housework this is not a hotel!!!!
Area: AzoresI am a Portuguese musician living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I have a countryside house at the beautiful Azores islands (Portugal), where I want to implement and develop an art and culture related project: a meeting point for artists and art-lovers, to create together, learn from each other and get inspired. Also, a place for workshops, residencies and other cultural projects - or simply to relax and enjoy the beauty and quietness of the islands. The 2014 project has been postponed to 2015, so at the moment we have no spots available for work.
