We are a couple in our 30's/ 40's (one Aussie, one Brit) with a 4 year old and a 1 year old, we live about 20 mins by bus from Pacific Fair (Broadbeach) on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We have travelled extensively, have lived in NZ, UK, Japan. We used to have couch surfers in NZ but we thought we'd try this now we are back on the Gold Coast! We love talking to travellers and telling them our fave places. Come and help us with our garden and house and kids!! The Gold Coast is a great place for a visit with long beaches, gorgeous hinterland rainforests, canals with million dollar mansions, shopping paradise, lots to see and do (theme parks, wildlife). We hope anyone staying here will enjoy trips to explore the area. Must love little kids!! We can host one person at a time.

Area: New South Wales

We are a blended family with Paul's daughters staying with us every other week. I work from home (I am a translator of Swedish to English) and have been a music teacher, and Paul is an acupuncturist practising traditional Chinese medicine. Button our dog half Pomeranian, half something else! and Monty our very friendly and cuddly Burmese cat make up the family. We have a big home, love visitors and a bigger garden that needs lots of work. We would be happy to provide help with English conversation, and we live close a number of lovely beaches and national parks/rainforest.

We are a young family with a relatively new farm, within walking distance along a bicycle path to the Tallangatta township, and a supermarket & other facilities. Our property consists of a hilly & picturesque 150 acres overlooking Lake Hume made up of grazing land , bushland & spring-fed dams. Livestock includes a traditional Belted Galloway stud cattle, Wiltshire Horn sheep & rare poultry breeds. Trial vegetable gardens & fruit orchards are also underway. Work includes working with livestock, planting, growing, maintenance of fruit trees & vegetable garden, general farm chores, building projects. Meat-based mixed diet, meals will be with family of 5 (includes 3 children aged 4-9), so basically you will become a member of our family.

Near Sydney, Australia, 3 hrs. north by car , Eligible business for visa extensions : Fantastic views,and animals, close to beaches and the mountains on the farm Practice Natural Horsemanship and Echo Holistic Management principles of grazing stock Motorbikes are used in daily work We mill timber for building projects; building cabins and houses always lots of projects we have full woodworking workshop.
