Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile.

I am currently on an extended trip around South East Asia where during my travels I hope to meet and make meaningful friendships with locals to better understand the countries, the cultures, and the language(s) of where I travel to.

Whilst I am new to the Workaway website I am not new to this form of cultural exchange in return for volunteer time. Whilst studying at university, I spent a year in Paris working as an au pair for a French family. Most recently, I have volunteered in Thailand at an elephant sanctuary as I care about animal conservation and moving to more ethical modes of animal care.

I've always been interested in learning more about farming, especially organic farming practices, if possible. Whilst I am vegetarian, this is an entirely personal choice that makes me feel more connected to my roots and cultural background, but I have no problem staying with those who do eat meat. I just hope my dietary preferences don't come across as picky or fussy. I'm always happy when in the kitchen and learning new recipes!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My professional career background is in IT consulting so I'm experienced in digital project management.

Outside of that however, I enjoy looking after children - I spent a year during my university studies as an au pair/nanny to two boys under the age of 5, engaging them in educational play and practising English with them to support their language instruction and was a regular (weekly) babysitter for another family with two girls.

I'm a real animal lover. In December 2023, I spent time volunteering at an ethical hands off elephant sanctuary in Thailand. Back home, I have a German Shepherd dog and so I'm a ceritified dog person, so if there's anything to be to done with pets - feeding, walking, playing I would most definitely be up for that.

Wherever I can I'd like to chip in a help, if it's not already in my skill set then I am happy to learn and try!
