Hello :)

My name is Sophia, and I am traveling through Portugal and Spain for the next few months. After one month of living in the van, driving all the way from Germany to Portugal, always searching for a good spot to sleep and managing various car issues, I am now looking forward to staying in one place for a longer period.

Back home in Germany, I have just completed my studies to become a teacher for social pedagogy and sports, and if everything goes as planned, I will start my working life in September. However, I can't really embrace that kind of life just yet. I'm full of energy, eager to connect with people from different backgrounds who have various perspectives on life. I want to carefully choose the place where I (might) permanently live. For this reason, I plan to settle down a bit in different places in Spain to immerse myself in the vibe, get to know the people around me, and also to improve my Spanish skills. I learned Spanish in school, so I have the basics down, but it's been a few years, so I need to get back into it. I would also love to do a language course while living in a larger city where I'm doing a workaway.

As I've already mentioned, I am usually an active person who loves sports and exploring the area around me. During my studies, I worked in various social fields, for example, in schools where I supported children with special needs, I gave swimming lessons to children, worked in an organization for disabled people, and helped young adults find a job after finishing school. That's the kind of work I love because I believe it's truly needed and strengthens our society.

What I also love is cleaning. That might sound a bit weird, but it gives me a calm and peaceful feeling inside when everything around me is clean and tidy. Cooking, gardening, going to the grocery store... I like all that kind of stuff.

In the end, I would describe myself as a flexible, friendly, and very easy-going person.
