Hi there, I'm Arianna!
Thank you for taking some time to read my profile :-)
I grew up in a town in the center of Italy, where I have been until the age of 18th, I’m half Polish thought - so I have always been traveling and learning different languages since a very young age. And I love it!
I am easy-going, very social and enthusiastic about learning new things and knowing different people – I love to discover different cultures and I believe that traveling is one of the greatest thing you can do to find out more about the world and yourself at the same time.
I think that in order to really get in touch with a culture it is fundamental to just stop for a little longer in one place and find the time to absorb it, that’s why Workaway is a great opportunity and it really fits my idea of traveling.
I have a passion for music (I play guitar and I sing) and arts in general, I have a degree in Literature, Music, Cinema and Theater studies and a master in Event Planning – I have experience in working in medium-scale music festivals, an environment that required strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills. I also like drawing and I have a bit of experience in acting, I did one year of theater school and I appear in a couple of short films and music videos from local artists.
Since 2019 my family owns a b&b in my hometown and I have been working there since I came back from South America. Thanks to this I have empowered my skills in hospitality management, an environment that I started exploring while in Chile and then in other Latin countries where I have spent almost 5 years traveling around and sustaining myself with volunteer jobs in many hostels, and working as a street artist: playing music in restaurants and selling macramé artifacts like bracelets and necklaces that I was creating myself.
My social skills and friendly approach made very enjoyable to me working in all environments that required interaction with people, allowing me to strengthen my skills in different jobs such as bartender (I am doing this currently in my hometown and I did it in Argentina too), restaurant waitress (in Italy and abroad) , café waitress (in a café-bakery in Australia), restaurant reception (I did this in London), and as I mentioned before hostel reception (in Chile, Argentina, Peru and Colombia) , shop assistant – actually my first job, starting when I was a teenager and I was helping my mother in a natural products store she had – and from then on I worked in all sorts of stores selling anything from toys to chocolate, and I also worked in a tourist agency selling tours in the desert of Chile.. I guess I am a good persuader ahah!
I also gave Italian lessons to foreign people when I was in Australia, in Chile and in Colombia (where I tought English as well) and I am very enthusiastic about teaching my native language and sharing things about my culture with others.
Another thing that fascinates me is learning about plants and nature, I had the chance to volunteer in a small farm owned by a shaman in the North of Argentina, helping to construct the walls of an outdoor toilet out of cane fiber, feeding little goats and helping prepare delicious food with the vegetables of the farm.
I am patient and open-minded, I don’t mind doing different kind of jobs, I like challenge and I believe that life is full of enriching experiences waiting to be discovered!

- I have experience in hospitality, waitressing, reception, retail, language tuition, bartending and I've worked as a production assistant for two music festivals in Rome
- Language skills, fluent in 3 languages and good in other 3
