We are a growing family living in East county Clare. Our home is nestled amongst the trees on the shores of Lough Graney. We are expecting our first child in June and are in the process of transforming our land into a sustainable haven to nurture us and our community. We have 3.5 acres and we are busy planting a food forest and establishing organic food and herb gardens. My partner is a Clinical Psychologist and I am a Psychotherapist , we are both yoga teachers. We have both traveled extensively, and are passionate about creating community and living in harmony with nature. While we are students of life and are always learning, and we both have extensive experience in, horticulture, permaculture, and agroforestry. I have a working knowledge of herbs and herbalism and would be happy to share anything that I know. Before moving to Ireland I spent 3 years living and working in various off grid communities in Central and South America. I also managed an reforestation project in the Amazon Rainforest for a few years and have spent time traveling throughout Europe and the United States on various work exchange programs. I hope that through our experiences we are able to create a fun, comfortable, loving space for you to experience Ireland and all the beauty and community it has to offer.

Community is very important to us. We enjoy attending local events and host gatherings at our home about once a month. You would be welcome to join in on whatever we have planned for the week. Some actives that we've been attending, traditional Irish music nights at the local pub, going to ecstatic or 5 rhythms dances in Galway or Limerick City, drum circles, foraging workshops, seed exchanges, yoga classes in our home studio, open mic nights, hiking, trips to local markets, and various art and creative activities. We are well connected and happy to help you find things that interest you so if there is something listed above that catches your eye or if there is a new thing you'd like to participate in we'd be happy to facilitate the experience if possible.

We are looking for a couple or an individual who loves working with their hands and enjoys time outdoors. We have just planted over 130 fruit and nut trees, and are in the process of establishing vegetable and herb gardens. As I am pregnant, my energy is being diverted to growing a human so we would love some support in planting, weeding, and general gardening tasks. We'd also love support with some basic home maintenance and upkeep.
We'd love to share dinner cooking responsibilities so being comfortable in the kitchen would be lovely.
We also have a small cabin that we are in the process of converting to be a self sustained home, so if you have any building skills that would be a major bonus.Idiomas

We have two cozy, well appointed spare rooms in the main house. One with a double bed for couples and one with two single beds. We have two bathrooms and one shower with plenty of hot water. You are welcome to enjoy all the communal spaces in the house , we have a spacious yoga/dance studio with a sound system, a sauna that we run about once a week, a cozy living room full of books and art space, as well as a kitchen and dining space. We also have good Wifi and a washer and dryer available to you.
We do not have any animals or pets.
Outdoor spaces include lake access, lots of beautiful trails for forest walks, a workshop, a lovely patio, and 2.5 acre field that we are in the process of transforming into a food forest.
We are working hard to create a sustainable lifestyle, we have solar panels that provide most of our electricity and are looking forward to having our gardens established to reduce our reliance on store bought food. We use mostly natural household products and avoid packaged and processed foods as much as possible.
We enjoy cooking and love trying new foods. We eat mostly vegetarian and whole foods, serving fish or meat about once a week. We would provide food for you to make yourself breakfast and lunch and you are welcome to ask for your favorite food stuffs or join me on shopping trips. Dinners we would prefer to have as a more communal affair, and depending on your skills and comfort level would love to take turns cooking dinners. But as with all things we are willing to be flexible and find a flow that works for everyone.Algo más...
There is a small pub at the end of our lane, but we are very rural. Having been a work exchanger myself I understand the challenges this can pose and will do my best to accommodate your adventures.
We can be flexible with your time off so if there is some event that you would like to attend or if you would like a few days in a particular city we are happy to help you plan travel and your hours to accommodate. We are located about 20 minutes from the nearest towns of Gort and Scariff, and are an hour from Galway and Limerick cities. It is not uncommon for us to be traveling to Limrick or Galway and occasionally we go to Dublin. You are welcome to join us anytime we travel to a town or city, and if you need a ride to a bus stop we are happy to drop you off.Un poco más de información
