Hi, I'm Tara :)
I'm a positive, easy-going person, looking to take part in rewarding volunteering and hopefully make some life-long friends along the way. A few of my interests are in landscape painting, board games, tennis... and a passion for juggling!
I live in the South of England, just outside of London and am looking to explore SE Asia between Feb - June, (then possibly Europe and NZ) but no set plans yet.. except escaping British weather!

Have previously worked as a portrait photographer on cruise ships, a web designer and in adventure expedition travel, however now looking for a new adventure and wanting to challenge myself further. The 9-5 life is really not doing it for me!

I am so excited at the prospect of travel again, and having the chance to meet and work alongside interesting, positive and like-minded people, exploring cultures and volunteering in local communities. I would love to explore a variety of workaways including helping out on eco projects and learn more about sustainable living, immersing into local communities/possibly teaching English, or general hospitality at a beach bar!

I am a kind, conscientious and friendly person, willing to work hard and have fun along the way! :) I have worked alongside 20+ nationalities on cruise ships, so am very used to adapting, living with and getting along with a variety of cultures and personalities.

Photography - I worked as a portrait photographer for 4 years on cruise ship, so would be happy to help out with photography for social media/branding etc.

Web Design- I have also been a web designer for a small company for a year. Although I am not a coder, I am competent at building websites using web-builders.

Admin - Very competent in admin roles, great attention to detail

Customer Service/ Hospitality - All my jobs have involved customer service, so this is something I always ensure to keep to a high standard.

Turtle Conservation - I spent 6 weeks volunteering for a turtle conservation in Cyprus, and fully immersed into the experience, including night shifts, team cooking, data recording, nest excavations and hard grafting in the heat!

English - English is my 1st language - happy to help teach

Basic labour/gardening - although not super experienced I am willing and happy to work hard on building projects.

Cooking - Good Vegetarian cook :)

I am enthusiastic, and am able to learn quickly on the job, so I am looking forward to pushing myself and learning new skills.
