A big hello to our potential future hosts!

My partner, Nina, and I, Rafael, met 4 years ago during our Environmental Science Bachelor in a town called Lüneburg in Germany. Throughout our studies, several topics sparked and deepened our interest. Climate Change, Ecology, Sustainable Living, Sustainable Design, Environmental Management to name a few.

This list could go on and on. We have however developed greatly as individuals alongside our academic studies. We had time to explore more sub-cultures here in Germany; including climate activism, music festivals, spiritual gatherings, multiple sports and other personal hobbies.

Nina has an eye for detail, and loves to design and decorate. Whether it is her own house,a little back garden, or a big stage at a festival, she loves the challenge. Rafael started fixing bicycles and doing woodworking since two years to learn some hard-skills after his studies were finished. But if there is a key thing that we share it must be a fascination for nature & people.

We will start our Workaway adventure with a deep interest for permaculture, agroforestry, agriculture, nature restoration, building (with sustainable materials if possible).

A vision of living close to or in nature, with like-minded, funny & ambitioned people is something that guides our decision to come to South America in the first place.

Getting to know smaller projects & farms will hopefully bring us closer to what we want in life in general. And with a bit of luck, meet people who are trying to do what we might be doing one day. Life a simple life, work on the land, life sustainably, and be connected to the people and the surrounding environment.

We love to cook, make/listen to music, start a spontaneous circus flow, get our hands dirty and dream about the universe that smiles upon us.

Who knows what magic we can produce. Or at least, you have two motivated workers. That is a good place to start, I guess!
