Hi everybody :)

I’m Matus, an IT guy from Slovakia :) I’ve studied informatics for 6 years, successfully graduated in 2021 and been working full-time as a software developer for couple of years. I realized that I don't want to sit behind the computer my whole life so I started working as a contractor for a part time and started doing plenty of other things such as working in a bistro, hiking, climbing, doing joga... hiking is my long time passion. I hike mostly in our beautiful slovak mountains. I usually go hiking with my friends, my father, or just all alone with myself. The most beautiful moment for me is when I reach the top of the mountain after hours of walking. For me, nature is the best place to relax.

I can code almost anything from small utilities to websites, web and mobile apps. I started to work with wood (as a hobby), I made my own tobacco pipe (and then quit smoking), made some wooden jewelry and recently I’ve made a rabbit hutch from old wooden pallets which we had in our garden. I love working with wood and DIY in general. If there’s a problem, something is broken, etc.. first I try to figure out how to fix it and if I can’t figure out a solution, then I call a repairman. I like to find out how things work, so I can fix them myself. Despite this, I love animals and would love to learn how to take care of all kinds of animals. We had a garden so I can do the basic gardening, but we don’t have any vegetables, herbs, or other edible plans that need care, so this is the thing I’d love to learn, how to plant and harvest. Despite that, I really like cooking, it’s very relaxing for me. When I cook, sometimes I cook literally for hours, but I enjoy it and it’s huge stress relief and relax. I can do almost any of the general household chores (really don’t like ironing :D). In general, I try to do things precisely, sometimes I’m doing things maybe a bit slower than others, but I try to pay attention to every detail.
