Currently I'm working as a language assistant in La Rioja, Spain for the 2023-2024 school year. During my times off, my goal is to visit as many places in Spain and Europe as possible!

Description

Hi! My name is Kyra, I am 22, and I was born and raised in North Louisiana. I just graduated from university with a general studies degree, and I want to take the opportunity to carve out new experiences for myself before I have to go into the job world. I don't know what I want to do yet so I am hoping that diversifying my experiences will help me to not only to forge a path for my life, but also to gain enriching experiences that make life more fun to live. I'm motivated by my natural curiosity and desire for knowledge, as well as my belief that everyone has something to teach.

I love spending quality time with people who are open-minded. I welcome different perspectives and I enjoy conversations about philosophy, spirituality, art and society. I like to create things with my hands; crochet is my strong suit but I also on occasion sew, draw, knit, paint, and embroider. I haven't done pottery but would love to try. I also speak Spanish at an intermediate level and would love to help anybody learn English as a foreign language.

I am at an intermediate level in Spanish and I would adore the opportunity to practice in an immersed environment. I have studied on and off for about two years and have even tutored beginners in the language. I just need that extra push to fluency that I don't get at home! I am also interested in teaching English. Grammar has always been my best subject in school and I want to eventually get certified to teach English as a second language.
