I am currently working on setting the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest GPS Art. I am interested in learning more about Permaculture and living in sustainable communities.

Description

I am 34 years old and in April, 2023 I left my job as a research engineer at a large company to fulfill my dreams of biking across the US and Europe. During my journey across the US and even Europe I came across several WWOOFing/ Workaway sites and decided I would like to explore this further. I happened to stay at a WWOOFing site in Concrete, Washington and learned about permaculture. I was really impressed by the drive of the people running the farm and how much knowledge they had. I decided I would like to explore this as a future way of life. In my life before hitting the road I endeavored to live Zero Waste in Minneapolis. I was pretty close. Part of the reason I chose to leave my career was even though my job was to make more environmentally friendly products, I felt we were really green washing. The work I was doing was not actually good for the environment. Now I am seeking to find a way of life that is more in tune with my values. For hosts I have my background in chemical engineering. I can learn quickly. I have some experience with yard and house work. I also have experience with pet sitting and chicken sitting. I am interested in gaining more experience with building and construction- but I have very little background as of now. I am not afraid to get dirty!

I have a background in engineering so I am comfortable with spreadsheets, math and calculations. I am also a former homeowner so I am familiar with taking care of a house and yard. I have also lived with dogs almost my entire life and I have taken care of pets. I am physically healthy and I am able to learn new things quickly.

I am an avid cyclist and I am currently in transition in my life trying to figure out what is next for me. I am excited to use work away as an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills to help me figure out where I really belong.
