Description
Hello there! I am a lover of travel, but what I love most about it is getting to learn about other cultures, languages, and histories. When I travel, I prefer to volunteer in communities I visit, not only as a way to give back, but also as a way of learning about the world. For instance, I worked as a volunteer tutor in Ecuador, helping disadvantaged teenagers with their homework, but at the same time I was studying Spanish and taking classes to learn about the local culture. I've also volunteered on disaster relief projects in Puerto Rico, worked for several months as an English teacher in Mexico, and solo traveled through Europe several times. It’s so fulfilling to learn more about the world while doing good in it! I have skills in social work, education, and would love to work in areas such as gardening, farm/animal work, and construction. Whatever the task is, I am highly motivated, flexible, and a quick learner.

I have extensive experience as an educator. I've tutored and taught everything from English to chemistry to Spanish to mathematics. In terms of accreditation, I have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate (TEFL) and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. However, I also have experience working on gardens (I've even worked a bit with beehives!), and I've participated in construction/animal care projects while on a conservation zoo in Ecuador. I am a quick learner and extremely adaptable, so I would be thrilled to work on farms, on construction projects, and many more areas! I can also teach yoga!

What else ...
Since my Bachelor’s degree is in biochemistry, I've actually worked in a research lab for many years. Since then, I've been traveling, tutoring online, and learning about the world. I also play piano and am a music lover! I would be eager to learn about the music of the culture I find myself in next. I regularly exercise, run, and do yoga, and I love to be outside in nature.
