Hello! I have just finished studying and am looking forward to spending a year travelling round SE Asia and South America. Having previously done a mix of home stays and hostel backpacking, I’m really looking forward to connecting with locals and experiencing life as you live it!

I have spent the last few months travelling Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand; I can't wait to continue exploring new places and meet new people in South America, and push myself out of my comfort zone.

I love the outdoors and everything active. I have played and coached field hockey my whole life, and love to go for runs and cycles. I try to practise yoga everyday! I'm also a big fan of the water and the beach, and enjoy scuba diving and surfing. I’ve been very lucky to dive with turtles and sharks. I equally enjoy relaxing to a good sunrise/sunset and a book, preferably a crime thriller! I also enjoy spending time with and caring for animals - I have been around horses since I was young and have previously house/petsit. Recently I’ve been helping to puppy train a mini daschund!

Frankie: I have a passion for teaching, and helping others develop new skills. Over the last 5 years I have volunteered and worked as a tutor and mentor for learners of all ages, focusing both on traditional curriculum subjects, adapted teaching methods and extracurricular activities. From coaching field hockey to helping children learn how to surf, and from volunteering at summer schools and workshops to helping older students apply to competitive universities such as Cambridge. I have carried out empirical research in Psychology and Criminology, and am therefore quite handy with data analysis and formal writing and editing.

Practically, I’m an experienced dog and cat sitter and happy to get stuck in with gardening and housework. I have previously worked at an equestrian centre, and also have hospitality experience as a barista and bartender.

I am excited to be able to share skills such as these, and others, like baking and cooking, with you!
