My given name is Emily. I prefer to be called Emmy, or my last name, Link. Originally, I am from Boulder, Colorado, USA. I graduated from University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies and Geography. My skillsets are diverse. I have substantial experience working in carpentry, building, landscaping, and gardening. As an artist, I gravitate toward found-object, creative re-use, and up-cycling. I run my own clothing repair/customization business. I am a songwriter, guitarist, and singer and enjoy performing in intimate settings. I seek to generate new ideas, projects, and possibilities with folks I meet during my travels.

I am comfortable executing tasks related to carpentry (e.g., using power tools and safety practices, working smarter not harder, creating plans, reading blueprints, etc). I seek out work environments led by permaculture principles and eco-social justice values. I learned to build Earthships while living in Taos, New Mexico, USA (houses made from Earth, tires, aluminum cans, glass bottles, stone, concrete, timber, and other materials). My work in landscaping and gardening has taught me skills in irrigation systems, xeriscape, stonework, garden maintenance, and small-scale food production. I grew up around horses and thus have a long-lived knack for working with animals of any size. I am self-taught in graphic design, web design, and event planning.

It is important for me to continue building upon my skillsets and pursuing a career as a carpenter, gardener, musician, and artist. I am an avid outdoors-person, whether it's rock climbing, yoga, running, biking, hiking, picnicking, simply sitting, or playing music outside. In my free time, I enjoy creating art and music, sewing, moving my body, reading, cooking, and spending quality time with others as well as with myself.
