Hi! My name is Daniel, I come from Czechia and currently I am finishing my master's studies in Sweden. In 2024 I will be writing my thesis and I'd like to travel a bit around Scandinavia and write it on the go, as well as at home. In the summer I would like to start travelling and doing workaways full-time for some time, to meet new people and try a lot of new activities.

I try to be open to everything! I like meeting new people, trying new food and different sports and experiences, I also love learning new languages, currently I am learning Swedish and a little bit of Norwegian. From sports I love hiking in the mountains, cycling in the summer, tennis.. Recently I've done a lot of climbing and bouldering and going to the gym. At home I like to just chill and play the guitar and sing.

I think I am a pretty chill and open-minded person and can adapt well to various environments and people and I also like to learn new manual skills and experience new things.

I am here mostly to get to know new countries from a non-tourist perspective and also to learn new interesting skills for life and make friends. I have been to Norway through Workaway in the summer for one month and it was overall a really perfect experience, that's why I decided to travel there again for a longer period of time and see more of the country and of all Scandinavia.

In my last Workaway, I did a lot of various tasks, like helping out on a farm, putting up
wooden cladding on their cabin, splitting wood, helping with cooking and general maintenance and tidying in-house and driving.

I have most experience in my field of study, railway design, as I worked for a project company that prepares transportation projects in czech republic. I used to work with AutoCAD, Excel and generally am able to orientate myself in big projects.

In the past I also worked part-time in a warehouse, in a bar, I used to teach children play guitar.

I am looking forward to learn new skills and I'm not afraid of physical work. I would say that I am definitely a quick learner.
